Railguns

OK. I opened your save, thank you for that. Saw the weapon in the list, added them so it was now in my list.

Opened my save. Found the weapon. ClanHeavyMediumLaser_Lvl5.

Added 99 of them for reasons. It was now in the list where it was not before.

Go back into game. Find 99 of them. They look like lasers.

Added them to the mech regardless.

Started a random assassination mission.

Fire the weapons. They're lasers, not railguns.

 

What am I missing?

OK thank you for this.

I downloaded the files and put them in their own folder and ran the editor. Loaded my save.

Added the weapon, qty 66. Saved the file.

Open MW5. Load the edited save. Equip a mech with the weapon.

Start a mission. Fire the weapon. They're lasers not rail guns.

No idea what's happening. I get the feeling that there's something very obvious that you know and I don't. Am I supposed to be using the ClanheavyMediumLaser_Lvl5?

I'm assuming that this item is misidentified in the database and that while it's called a laser it's supposed to be a railgun.

I've added everything with railgun in the name to my save and yet none of them come up in the inventory in the game.

In that last image you can see me firing the 4 weapons I added. They're definitely lasers.
