Shasariden
Somewhere last year I moved skyrim SE and a plethora of mods from one hard drive to another. Which seems to have caused some issues that I cannot seem to figure out. Namely, Showracemenu crashes to desktop if I use it more than ONCE in a playthrough. Not the end of the world, I just cannot use it past the first character creation or in old saves. However, I should attempt starting over just to clear anything else I haven't encountered yet. With that out of the way, my question is what is involved in reinstalling a modded skyrim? do I have to disable and uninstall every mod in my list prior to uninstalling? or can I delete the game (using steam), redownload and expect everything to work as intended? I have never had need or incline to reinstall a game for the sake of troubleshooting, so this is all new territory to me.
xkkmEl
You may not be able to redownload some mods, if they where originally installed some time ago. Many popular mods got deleted from Nexus. If you use MO2, make a backup of the "mods" and "overwrite" subdirs. They contain most of the data you'll need and copy well across installations. Hopefully you are using LOOT to help rebuild a working load order. Note: There may be better and more complete methods. Shasariden
Thanks for the info! I have actually saved every mod I accumulated since I joined nexus. So that's quite a few years of mods that I know aren't available any longer. Good to know the process isn't going to be as involved as I feared.
