  1. Thanks for the info! I have actually saved every mod I accumulated since I joined nexus. So that's quite a few years of mods that I know aren't available any longer. Good to know the process isn't going to be as involved as I feared.
  2. Somewhere last year I moved skyrim SE and a plethora of mods from one hard drive to another. Which seems to have caused some issues that I cannot seem to figure out. Namely, Showracemenu crashes to desktop if I use it more than ONCE in a playthrough. Not the end of the world, I just cannot use it past the first character creation or in old saves. However, I should attempt starting over just to clear anything else I haven't encountered yet. With that out of the way, my question is what is involved in reinstalling a modded skyrim? do I have to disable and uninstall every mod in my list prior to uninstalling? or can I delete the game (using steam), redownload and expect everything to work as intended? I have never had need or incline to reinstall a game for the sake of troubleshooting, so this is all new territory to me.
  3. With how modding works in skyrim I have always been curious if it is possible to add the models or perhaps look-alike werewolf form from Morrowind, into skyrim. Both versions seem to retain somewhat similar stances but look vastly different. I know there are some really impressive werewolf models already in Nexus, but I just love the idea of an old-school looking model reminiscent of Morrowind. Would it be as simple and porting models? or are the differences so vast that it would be required to make them from scratch to look like the old lycans?
  4. Oh dang, all these masks look amazing. Great work all around! bald or not, lol.
  5. This solved the problem I was having. Thank you very much BrotherBob!
  6. It is very confusing, and sort of difficult to see anything, with all the images being so hugely sized. Is there a place to provide feedback? I would like to leave a proper opinion about the new look.
  7. I have been trying to change my display name for an indiscriminate ammount of time, and I cant, for the love of cat-tuhlu find the display name change option... unless it was removed and the help topic is outdated. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?app=core&module=help&do=01&HID=18
  8. I am not agaisnt it, or with it... a modder is a type of artist, and like I charge for a commision of a drawing, so should a modder charge for THEIR work, assets borrowed? forget your pay, but still... the idea shouldnt die, I know modders out there who work unimagineable wonders, they have made me so happy with their work, and they even wont accept money... hats off for them, I would throw my wallet at them any day for their work. Beth and Valve had their minds in the right place, but the execution was so poorly done it even made EA look good... and we all know EA. The % that was revealed on launch of this initiative was insulting... the author would only get 25% (it ended up being 75% before the idea was pulled) while beth and valve get a fatter share, now on to who does this seem the worst idea? not on the modder themselves but on the mod users, as they are right to feel the author of the mod should be the one naturally recieving the most from their work... Like Dark mentioned, Beth has developed these SDK tools, for no benefi at all during all these years, just so we can make games our own, that is still a thing and I sincerely hope it ll remain that way. This disaster could have been a beautiful step in the right direction, but goddamn whoever pushed the big red button and decided to give go at this now unrepentable disaster... the removal of paid mods, glorious? hardly, but perhaps the only reasonable choice at this point.
  9. Ok so if i understand correctly, i can either... reinstall and keep my load order? i dont want to keep mods, or characters, id just like to know if its safe to uninstall most of my mods and go back to my old mostly unmodded save
  10. So i was thinking about starting fresh, because i have.... 256 active mods in skyrim and its awesome, but id love to keep skyrim with a lot less mods... simple and pretty, with a bit of immersion, a couple custom armors... and a werewolf mod... i have ALL of those, and other 200 mods that are things i downloaded over the passing of a year. Id love to go back to my first save in which i only had Frostfall installed (yeah i kept my VERY first save all this time) but idk, is it safe to simply deactivate most of my mods...with their evil scripts (a lot of em have scripts like real shelter) because from what i know, they leave some files behind when you uninstall... its not 100% clean and that would mean id get rid of a lot of mods that have a lot of scrips that are going to be left behind... what would be the best course of action? back up my save and reinstall? or delete the whole mods folder and install 1 by 1?
  11. tried, found an error and this is what shows Background Loader: Fatal: <EOSError: System Error. Code: 2. Fixed! strangely enought an old mod i activated ages ago was the culprit, deactivated it, caused another error, deactivated that mod which was causing the second error and now its working perfectly! ^_^ (so far)
  12. Ahh asap! i need to remember how to run it properly! its been quite a while! didnt find anything related to the CTD =/
  13. So i thought i would try running skyrim on low textures... just because, then after i tried launching the game as usual, SKSE launcher and all, it started crashing after the beth logo, the typical "some master is wrong" or so i thought, but no i didnt change a single mod other than the texture quality, so i decided to enable logging and tracking to find out what was wrong... this is what shows up: [02/22/2015 - 02:46:09AM] Papyrus log opened (PC) [02/22/2015 - 02:46:09AM] Update budget: 1.200000ms (Extra tasklet budget: 1.200000ms, Load screen budget: 500.000000ms) [02/22/2015 - 02:46:09AM] Memory page: 128 (min) 512 (max) 76800 (max total) not a lot of information... and i have no idea what any of it means x.x (yeah thats the entire log)
  14. so... that network is a must? must i really add that?
