Map selection (adding more)

I like xcom but i didn't like it having an end, so i on my 2nd game i never actually went for the last mission, instead i'm simply waiting for the next random one to appear.

 

Thing is, this limits the map variation, it's nice to have these kinds of missions from time to time, but i feel i'm playing the same thing over and over, i want to rescue civilians, i want to fight in the foutain map, i want buildings and so on.

 

I'm trying to mod this particular thing, can anyone redirect me to the files with this info and what tools can i use to change them?

I simply want the game to select a random map from all the maps available and not just from 2 or 3, i'm tired of fighting in the forest :tongue:
