Bodyslide Presets and Armor mods

So I recently decided to give Bodyslider a try and got some presets from people. I discovered how it caused the armor mod I am using, Remodeled Armor, to stop working. After messing around with it for a while I can't get it to work again, even after I tried to properly generate the outfits for the mod following the instructions to do it correctly.

Does anyone know what I need to do or how to get the necessary files back to default for it to work?

Define "stop working". How does it look in-game?

Which mod manager are you using?

Do you remember which options you picked when installing remodelled armor?

Generally, if an outfit starts having issues after a BodySlide rebuild, it means that you built a version your current install can't support.

I.e. if you don't have XP32 skeleton installed, and build any of the 'regular' CT77 outfits, you will have issues.

You can either install XP32 and its prerequisites, or you can use BodySlide to build the 'No Physics' variants of the outfits.

I've been having a bad time interpreting some of these queries recently, but I'll take another shot based on what I can glean from your posts.

A Bodyslide "outfit" must be attached to a compatible Bodyslide Preset

That is, the entry in Body/outfit must use a matching preset to which it conforms.

A gross example of the potential problem might be installing a BHUNP armor for a game that uses CBBE. It's not going to work, because the preset and the outfit don't have matching nodes. (ignoring the obvious texture mismatch issues)

A subtle example would be installing a CBBE armor and fitting it to a CBBE-3BA preset. In this case, you *might get some response from some nodes, but others aren't covered at all and so any adjustment there will produce zero change

(an example from my specific game would be me trying to fit a CBBE-3BA v3 armor to my CBBE-3BBB v1 body. In some ways, the result, when it's actually still a wearable outfit, it's a bit like applying a highpoly face preset to a lowpoly head)

So, without knowing anything more than what I know, I'd recommend that you try again and make sure that the Preset and the Outfit come from the same body type, AND match your player body type.

And fwiw, make sure to check the "build morphs" checkbox so that any necessary tri files are produced by the Bodyslide Build processing, for in-game Racemenu support

One other possible problem you might be experiencing is in terms of where files are being outputted from the Bodyslide application. If you installed the game in a non-default manner, you might want to re-read the instructions at Bodyslide's mod page, since they provide instruction on how to configure the output pathing. This IS a common problem for those who install the game in different drives than root, for example. In this situation, files are being output, but not to where they need to be sent, since Bodyside's default output path expects files to be in specific "vanilla installation" locations.

good luck

I suspect what you did is 'Batch Build' and just clicked 'Build' on subsequent pop-ups.

I can give you a more in-depth on Batch Build and mesh conflict resolution, but at this point, easiest option is to do following:

In BodySlide, click the down arrow in 'Group Filter', 'Choose Groups'.

Scroll down, and check boxes on 'CT77 Complete Physics' and 'CT77 Realistic Physics', click OK.

Choose whichever preset you want to use.

Click 'Batch Build'.

First popup should have lots of outfits listed, all of them 'CT77', and pretty sure all of them checked. Click 'Build'

Next popup should present you with a bunch of choices, like this:

You probably want to select 'Realistic Physics' (no boob shake in armor) in each case, click OK. It will build your Remodeled meshes.

Click the 'X' in Group Filter to clear it.

That is basically what I was doing before.

I'll take your suggestions and play around with it to get it the way I like.
