mod not working

i just downloaded some new mods, weapons of the damed, fantasy mod. when i loaded the game i went to where the weapons are located and thier was a yellow triangle with a ! in the middle, same with the fantasy mod. i am have the latest patch and the requirments for the mod to work. i tried to use it with out obse and with obse. not sure what is wrong if anybody has come across this problem please let me know how you fixed it. thanks

it sounds like you placed the meshes in the wrong place.

Very common problem, associated with incorrect installation of the mod.

as jefe said the meshes are in the wrong place.

 

Open a copy of the mod in a window next to your Oblivion game folder and compare the file structure.

- Data/Meshes/Armor/ - At this point you will have either another folder that came with the mod - WoD -

or whatever, or you may just have the meshes (Nif) from the mod.

 

The mod and the game should have the same folders/files in the same order. If the mod has something the

game does not have then that is probably what is missing. Just copy it from the mod to the game.

 

Then search other folders adjacent to the Armor (or other folders) for the files that should have

been there the first time. You can delete these now, as you have replaced them.
