[Retexture] Normal map makes armor glossy

So i'm making a retexture for this mod (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1GZBFxkxkQNygqBYHah2dnCMtWRhtz9H2)

When i generate a normal map for the new textures, it make the armor glossy

I've tried multiple compression format, generating with Nvidia texture tools

Alpha channel in the normal texture is specular.

all-white alpha = super shiny/glossy. all-black alpha = 100% dark, non-reflective.

 

For leather, I would set alpha to like darkish-gray (0x5f5f5f or something.)

Here is an example from my recent mod. Glossier/shinier leather has lighter alpha, darker grainier leather almost black, shiny metal bits almost white.
