alexandersig
Hey, this is an awesome site but it really pisses me off when someone uploads a file (such as a house mod) with no pictures and it just says "it's very big house" or something like that with no info on the location or any info that's really useful. It would be great if when editing the long description you'd be automatically given a template depending on the mod category you selected, ex. if you upload a mod under "Weapons" you'd have to fill in all of the following: It could basically be alot like LHammonds readme generator but with some minor adjustments Weapons:-Introduction (Basic info such as: Weapon Type, Custom Model Y/N)-How to obtain the weapon-Legal (Modder's Resource or not etc.) Buildings:-Introduction-Size of the Building-Point of entry(Adding a "Player Home" section would be great also.) Another thing that really annoys me is when you see completely abandoned mods on either "Hidden" status or no file download, it would be great if:-Mods with no files after 24h would be automatically deleted-Mods on "Hidden" for 1-2 Months would be automatically deleted. LHammonds
But those that are curious enough can check it out, take some screenshots and form a good text-based description as well. Most of the time, you are able to attach screenshots to the mods image gallery. If it is the 1st image uploaded, it will be the "featured" image thumbnail associated on the main mod page. And if the author is still active, posting a well-formed text description in the comment section for the author to use is normally appreciated and utilized. If the author is not active, then click the report button on your post with the description and ask that it be used instead of the one-liner description (or in addition to it). This is one of the ways that people who do not or cannot mod can help contribute to this community. Article: Do you feel the need to give back to the community?
