johnwashere2020
So the long and the short of it is that I have been playing Skyrim for a long time and I just want to make it feel fresh again.I can never really seem to find anything that tickles my fancy with mods and it's probably because I'm just looking in the wrong place. Does anyone have any recommendations for a set of mods to shake things up a bit? Recently got a new computer so I don't mind loading it up with graphics mods (I'm sure the 4090 can handle it). Kind of want a complete overhaul in the same way as the star wars mod for M&B: Warband back in the day but even something to freshen up the core game would be welcome. I have previously tried and had fun doing various stealth archer, barbarian, overlord, rocky balboa, tank, battle mage etc...I did also enjoy magic: apocalypse but felt I ended up falling back on traditional spells too muchSimilar thing with the Ordinator: Perks of Skyrim mod, it was good in the beginning but there are almost too many perks and not enough skill points so I felt too specialised in some cases. (I used to try collections and not one seemed to work so please don't recommend those)
Shadeybladey
It depends what you are looking for, I suppose. There are many good graphics overhauls, although I don't like the ones that turn Skyrim into a tropical paradise. I prefer the traditional Nordic Taiga, Tundra, Polar with deciduous in the South. There are numerous recommended mod sets for graphics of land, trees, water, towns and cities and so on. And there are several radical overhauls of Skyrim. The first that springs to mind is Requiem. I've never used it so I cannot recommend it from that point of view. I think I did try it once many years ago when it was very incomplete. They had completed the Illusion tree and made dungeons more dangerous. But I am sure it is much more complete now. :)
