CLB1110
Ive found that if you have some decent melee characters you can just sit back and shoot your enemeies. It might not have worked for you, but it sure worked for me. Ive beaten the entire game using a ranged character on the highest difficulty setting and I didnt have too much trouble, except against lightsabre wielding enemies. wraithguard01
I think you guys are being over-critical. I know that it doesn't follow the d20 system exactly (and I would know I play the pen/paper version) but maybe you could think of it as creating a new game instead of making it follow the d20 system exactly... It's a good game anyways you look at it. [/my opinion]

Morbid_Pathologist
if theres something i did have to complain about it would be just how easy it is to get a lightsaber, and how underpowered they are..problem is, if they as strong as they should be (taking the original movies into consideration...instant decapitations) then the game would be unbalanced, so the game would have to change something else...the whole system (D&D in this case, is too touchy, change one thing and everything else will have a disadvantage/advantage to it)
Slaiv
Exact same game, only with new characters and a new storyline. Bioware used to be one of my favorite developers, but now they've sold out to Microsoft. So they handed it off to Oblivion... who kept it the same. Not enough to make me purchase it. The lightsabres are the most powerful weapon, considering you built your character right and use the best upgrades. Ive gotten my character to do 102 damage with a double-bladed sabre. Even in the final area of the game Sith Lords drop like flies as you chop them up with your mighty blade.
Bullet_shrapnel
You know what I hate? Well, lots of things really. I'm old and easily annoyed but that's besides the point. No, what I really hate are when games wallow in mystery and unexplained to create some false sense of depth. I hate it when they've a beginning and end so badly calculated that they seem determined to make the player want to stop. I hate it when the characters are wooden and without personality. Most of all, I hate it when the darned thing is shot through of bugs that make it damn near impossible to play. Anyway, my mouth is dry and you're making me cranky. Shoo! Shoo! Suffice to say, I am of the 'KotOR II is contrived rubbish' camp. Oh, and of the ending: Exile: "Oh noes!! The Jedi peoples are deaded!" Kreia: "I killed them all. I am no longer neutral. I AM EVIL!" Atton: "Huhhh?" Atris: "I AM EVIL TOO. Grrr!" Exile: <Force death> Atris: <croak> Atton: "Huuhhhhh?" Darth Masky: "Wibble-wibble. Hssss! Gurk." Visas: "He say's he's evil." Exile: <snap-hisss! Vwwwwing! Slash! Etc!> Visas: "OH NOOO! HE'S INVLUNERABLE!" Exile: <Force death> Darth Masky: <croak> Visas: "Oh." Atton: "Seriously, huhhhhhhh?!" Bao-Dur: "General, we must return to Malachor V. We've been dropping hints for the entire game. Also I left my car keys there." Exile: "Oh, bumcrap! The ship is crashing!" Everyone: <MAYBE DEAD!> Exile: "My god. We've landed at the end of Final Fantasy VII..." Mira: "It's the wookiee I already killed but was resurrected again but never did anything! Eeeeek!" Hanhaarrraarrhhggh.Arr.: "Raarrrrrrgghhh!" Mira: <bang!> Hanhaarrraarrhhggh.Arr.: "ArrrrraRaagghh!" <croak> Remote: "Beep!" <bang!> G0-T0: "HA HA HA HA! I AM EVIL ROBOT WITH NO EXPLANATION!" Exile: "Ooh. A big temple." Everyone in temple: <death-death-death-deathdy-deathdy-death> Kreia: "I AM EVIL!" Exile: "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" ***BIG (but short) RUCKUSS*** Kreia: "Aaaieee!" Exile: "Bye bye!" Ebon Hawk: "Whoosh!" THE END ALREADY!! Audience: "Huhhhhhhh?
CLB1110
Everyone hated the ending but I really didnt mind it. It makes for a nice way to tie in a sequal later which I will be looking forward to. The beginning was somewhat boring but not all beginnings are fun. I enjoyed the mystery in the game. Bullet_shrapnel
Mystery is good. Never, ever informing the player as to what is going on - bad. Especially on the light side after you meet up with all the Jedi, and they start wibbling on about death and force as if it all makes sense. Set phasers to max confusion! The ending? Well, apart from the unexplained, what annoyed my the most was the part when you take over and use the remote. Having NOT methodically cleared the entire map I was forced to try and take out everything that remained with a floating beach ball armed with stun lasers. No, just no. Oh, and they way it handily sweeps everything it built towards under the rug and hopes we all forget about it. HK factory? How about Hanhaaarrarghrarrr, what the hell happens to him? Why was he even there? Force link with Kreia, what's that about, and why doesn't your character die when she does, as has been suggested for the last 30 hours odd? CLB1110
::::POSSIBLE SPOILERS:::: As an answer to the Hanhaar question at the end after you defeat Kreia, you can ask her about the fates of all your companions and all the planets. The death of the force wasnt suppost to make sense because during the cinema of you being exiled they talk about it, but never really come out and say it, they were tring to keep it from you. It was suppost to be a mystery of what they meant, but you find out later. What they mean by the death of the force is your character, the exile. You make waves in the force that are so powerful that the consul thinks it could destroy the entire galaxy. Kreia knows that you are the one that will save the force not destroy it, thats why she put you through all of the trials so you could face her and defeat her. Kreia was the one who created the force link, to make you unwillingly travel with her so she could train you because you are the one who can save the force. You dont die because she made the chain between you and can break it whenever she wishes. The remote part was odd, but it was easy since I tried to get my character to the highest level I could so I cleared both maps of storm beasts. I belive he Mass Shadow Generator was a machine Bao-Dur created to defeat the Mandalorians on Malalchor IV and it screwed up the planet or something like that. He built the remote to activate the generator again so he can totally destroy the evil planet and the sith Trayus academy along with it.
