RoNin1971
I'll have a look at it. No trouble doing it, but to explain ... yeah, big trouble. ;) What to do in CK depends on what exactly you wish to do. Are these the only instances where the texture is used / you want all of them to turn red ?- No need to even open CK, as you can replace the texture easily by adding it to your fallout's data folder with the same path & name (read up on 'loose files' for more info) Are there more that need to remain green?- You need to give it a unique name & create a "material swap" in CK, which you then assign to those parts you wish to change. aliveagain002
Hey RoNin,thanks for your reply Yes my problem is that i only want to change 3 of the green metal things to red,and i'm totally lost on how i can make it work so not all of them become red, i'm not 100% but i think there's 12 of these green metal structures in all :)

RoNin1971
You need to create a material file. For that just copy the original and rename it. Then modify the name for the diffuse map to the red version. In CK you then need to create a 'material swap'. To swap the original material for the new one. Finally you need to assign that to each mesh/object you want changed. hereami
Can Precombines be tricked to Do Precombines reflect texture replacement? If that's STAT DExtBase1x1Garage01 (although it's like everything is precomb around DC either way), then will break precomb if using regular means, like adding MSWAP to exact references, since need to preserve the rest. Would be worth it? Edited March 27, 2023 by hereami
RoNin1971
Afaik, textures do not break precombines.
lee3310
Afaik, textures do not break precombines. If you replaces the vanilla texture (.dds) it will work out of the box, but if you add it as new MSWP then it won't show up until rebuilding the precombines in that area (or edit the vanilla precombines in nifskope) Edited March 28, 2023 by lee3310
