odd behavior on exit from map, inventory, mcms, etc

So lately, I've been experiencing an issue where when I exit a menu, my player suddenly drops from a few feet off the ground (as if they dropped off a ledge, for example).

In addition, if I'm in inventory, and am swapping armor/clothing, each piece equipped or unequipped, results in me alternately

a) (if in the air already) dropping back to normal ground position, or

b) being levitated up several feet into the air.

It's a "nothing" issue in the grand scheme of things, (no associated CTDs or freezes or dead saves as a result), so I'm not sure it's up to the level of load lists , but I'm still curious if that rings a bell with anyone else, as to the general category I might look for a culprit (some well known, and overlooked by me patch, or some subtle contention, or ini setting ...whatever) . It's not end-of-world, but it is annoying, like the game can't quite figure out what ground is.

and yes, admittedly, if I had addressed it back when it started, this post would never have been written in the first place. It's been "a while" (60-70 mod updates and new installs), so the easy fix ain't an option. Shaym on me. Shaym Shaym Shaym!

just a suggestion: any high heels software installed or even enchanted boots ? i would check this and change armor and boots. i hope you find the culprit. you can also check for jump mods and the settings (or mcm) maybe out of normal range? do you remember since when ? any additional mods software or updates in the specific time window installed ?

In short answer, I've installed and uninstalled and disabled many mods over the time.

Thanks for the advise on highheels function. I'll have a look and see if I uninstalled or installed anything that fiddles with that. Sounds plausible... Ah... yes, I uninstalled Lazytools recently. Hmm, or did I simply disable it? I'll check.

thanks for the reply and siuggestion.
