SnowWhiteTigerlilly
Okay, so I just got Skyrim all set up on my computer. I was looking to download some mods via NMM. I managed to download one. But now when I click on the link that says download with NMM nothing happens. The top of the page gives me a momentary swirling icon as if it is loading but then simply reloads the page. Nothing pops up in NMM's download window either. It's as if I never clicked the link at all. I have tried this with about ten different mods now and have had the same problem with every single one. I also just tried logging out and then back in to my account, uninstalling and re-installing NMM and opening the download links in a new tab/window. None of which seemed to have any effect. Is there a fix for this? I was really excited about finally being able to run mods on Skyrim and now it seems like it won't be able to and I have no idea why. Chrome is my main browser if that helps. Though I was looking through my settings and I didn't see anything activated that would indicate that it is somehow blocking the downloads. I also tried checking the box in the NMM settings that says Associate with NXM Url's because that was a suggested fix in another post I found while looking for a solution to the problem. But that didn't help me either. I'm hesitant to say that it's an issue with internet browser compatibility though because the one mod i did manage to download yesterday (Ethereal Elven Overhaul) I got through Chrome and I really doubt that the settings/config of the browser could become incompatible overnight since I didn't change them manually. But I guess i'll try downloading with another browser and see if that works. EDIT: Just tried downloading with Internet Explorer instead of Chrome and it seems to be working fine. So I guess it really is a compatibility issue. Still I wish I actually knew what exactly is causing the incompatibility with chrome. I suppose I just ought to be grateful I can get the dang things to work at all. Edited December 18, 2013 by SnowWhiteTigerlilly
