Exptected finish time, 14:00 or 15:00 hours Currently i am working on a modding project called Project Fort Fearz3.invisionfree.com/ProjectFortFearBut i need to widen my experience when working with forts, so i decided to make a mod called Fort Death, which adds a player owned fort with 2 interiors, the main living quarters, and The Vault, to store your items. I've basically got the vault already done, and am just working on the living quarters. I already know how and what i want done to it, and can finish within less than 15 minutes and have it ready for upload. BUT, while i am at it, i was wondering.. Since i need to widen my experience with forts, delaying its actual completion will do me some good. SO, i am opening up this forum to suggestions on what YOU, the player and downloader, would like to see in a player owned fort home. But before you post, please look at the small list of what i am NOT willing to add. I am NOT willing to add:Multiple NPC's. (its player owned, and should stay looking that way)Any kind of bandit or marauders.Quests whatsoeverLarge amounts of scripting.Scripting custom effects.New meshes and or textures (even resouces, im only using vanilla) So, aside from those, tell me what you would like to see in a player owned fort! Keep in mind, the fort is reletively clean. By this i mean i reduced rubble as much as i can, got rid of broken crates, and other things expected to be found in a fort. Slawter500 Posted June 5, 2009 Share Posted June 5, 2009 Perhaps a tunnel network in the vault you mentioned, This could lead you to other forts to be owned by the player, this means you are working on more forts thus giving you more experience, Also any updates on Fort fear? Little has been done because time was not alloted, but today was the last day of school, which basically frees up almost all my time, so tomarrow is when it kicks off. And i do not feel like making more than just this fort for this perticular mod, because i want to get to work on fort fear soon. I have gained a moderate grasp on forts, enough to get around so far from this mod, although i didnt trust myself to completely making a fort from scratch lol. Anyways, i want to keep this mod reletively simple, without too much fancy work. Right now i just have a lot of the first room i have to fill in with stuff, if i go further than that it will definetly not be a conventional room you would think to find in a fort. I might, however, take a little bit of your suggestion, and add a tunnel system that leads to the nearest located city, like a secret enterance or something. Ok, sure, ill do it here as well, in a lighter version, one option. EXCEPT: I, after looking at the script, saw how much i would have no idea how to implement it.. If it is going to be used.. can i ask that you take the mod (not yet uploaded) and put the script in there for functionality? I will set everything else up.. but i was a little over my head when i thought that if i just had the script i can simply do it myself. After, of course, you do it, i will simply look at how its done and then i should be able to figure the rest out. That is, if you are willing. But yes, i think this would be a perfect opertunity to test the script out. Cept one thing, I will not, at all, allow anyone to take and or use this script whatsoever until the mod in which it is actually intended for (both of them) are complete. After that, then if people want to use it they need only ask both you and I, while leaving the line;Made by vicICE specifically for the use of Ranokoa in 'Mod a', and 'Bigger mod B'.in there. Anyways, yes, i think this is a perfect time to test this script out. For those of you who have no idea what we are talking about, GOOD. lol. You shouldn't, and won't, till the mod comes out. Already thought you would ask, because it would have to be cut in pieces for that..
