Skyrim LE FNIS file path problem.

So, I recently moved my game from C: files to an external hard drive I bought for more room. Now when I install new animation packs I get this.

FNIS Behavior V7.6 XXL 4/2/2023 1:35:39 PM

Generator: G:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISforUsers.exe
Skyrim 32bit: ??.??.?? - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\ (Steam)
>>Warning: Expected generator path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users not found<<
I have no idea what to do to fix it, I've never had this problem before and I havent found anyone yet that has a similar problem with a fix for it (most seem to be on SE). All my animations I already have still works just fine, but nothing new will be added in, and I have no clue on how to adjust the file pathing.

That would be why. The registry path most likely didn't update. If you had kept Steam on the C drive, created a new library on the G drive, backed up your mods then used Steam to move the game(s) to the G drive... You probably wouldn't be having this issue.

Outside of re-installing everything, I have no idea how to resolve it.

I should have clarified that I copy and pasted the entire Steam folder and moved it that way, so my original Steam folder is still there. Is there anyway I can remove FNIS and reinstall it to make it redo the file pathing?

If you're using Nexus Mod Manager simply make sure to set up your staging folder in parameters under the mods section.

I'm using Skyrim Mod manager.

Have a look at this: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7385141-mod-staging-folder/

Might help or not, I don't know of any "skyrim mod manager", only of Nexus Mod Manager and MO2.

Yea, I meant MO. I tried MO2 and it was uninstalling my mods without my input as soon as I would open it so I had to go to an older version that works. I've tried changing the FNIS Directory that way and it still wont work. I guess I'm fubr'd, since I have ALOT of mods from pre 2019 in my list thats since been removed and you cant download anymore. I'm using Skyrim Mod Organizer v1.3.11. I know its outdated but its the only one I've found that will keep my old NMM load order in place WITHOUT uninstalling all my mods on me without even asking me first.

MO should look almost the same for that part, all you have to do is make sure you set up your new directory in here then run FNIS.

Also just thinking a little just re-installing FNIS in MO should fix it's pathing issue.
