horr1dchops
Hello everyone, first I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read this message and help me out, its much appreciated. Basically I just did a complete system format, installed all drivers, all the latest everything (at least I believe I did) then installed fallout 3 (All bought and paid for). I then launched the game, changed my setting and updated to 1.5 with Live. Next I installed the archive validation thingy, then fomm. I copied XFOs scripts, the enhanced weather mod. Booted up the game from fomm with everything ticked and I crashed to desktop, I turned off all mods and booted up and it loads fine. I checked just the weather mod, still crashed to desktop and same with just XFO scripts. I read around to see if I could find a solution and found out about FO3edit 2.4.9 EXPERIMENTAL version, and installed this.I still crash to desktop and cant use any mod. Does anyone have any solutions or suggestions? Thank you for taking the time.

sgpb
I am having the exact same problem. I have the anti activator whatever and the fomm. I only have 1 mod running its a item mod. My game still crashes. The only thing i can think of is maybe trying to return the game. I don't think stores take pc games back though.

neunen
i have no idea if these will actually fix the issues, but you could try: -using fo3edit to run the master update (ive heard that fixes some of the 1.5 issues)-degrade back down to 1.4 or earlier and use the fake patch-get the mod that disables GFWL-try a few other small mods in isolation to see if ANY mod will crash it, or if it just happens to be the 2 you currently have. maybe one of those things will shake something loose (?) muppetsoup
I usually see that when an esp is enabled without a required esm. Are those the only mods you have enabled, and does either of them require a master file? You can see this when you highlight the esp in FOMM. pieceoshu
I am having a similar but not the same problem. I have downloaded several mods and only one of them seems to work without crashing (it only adds a single item to the game and changes nothing else). Any other mod I use causes issues such as: Buildings will spontaneously dissapear (most common). If I enter an area a mod affects it will randomly crash when I try to save and only when I save.Random crashes (but very rare) during casual gameplay (mod areas or not). I have version 1.5 b/c fricken GFWL requires it before I can play my dlc. My system can also handle anything this game throws at me. My load order is correct as far as was explained in the mods themselves, and my mods are all area only mods that are unrelated so I load them in whatever order they appear after certain things like "Fellout"; and of course my .esm files are loaded first. The same issues occur when I try the mods by themselves. Any of this sound familiar? The crashing when I save thing is the worst as I have to revert to an earlier save. Oh, and what was that you said (neunen) about FO3Edit and running master update? What is FO3Edit?
