Internet Explorer 11 has screwed up the Forum

Since IE 10 updated to IE 11 I:

 

cannot quote posts unless in plain text

cannot use colour

cannot use formatting like bold and italics

cannot post links or images

cannot do various other things

IE11 often says it has stopped working when it has not.

 

 

This happened when IE9 updated to 1E10, but I managed to fix it and now cannot remember how.

 

I also get lots of script errors that things are unsupported, like:

 

+T=L.$.createEvent('KeyEvents');

 

Also, when trying to delete a typo, I get:

 

Line: 1521

Error: Unable to get property 'getRanges' of undefined or null reference

 

 

I am using plain text at the moment (Courier). When I click the little icon at the top left of the forum formatting toolbar, it goes into "rich text", but I cannot use any of the formatting elements on the tool bar.

 

EG, if I select a word to highlight in colour, the cursor just jumps to the top left hand corner of the post and does not add any colour.

 

Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this in my Internet settings?

 

 

If I use Google Chrome, none of this happens, but I don't like Chrome.
