Hneta
Ulfberht is a real sword from the times of vikings. What was so unique about it, was the fact it was way ahead of its time. I don't know how to explain it really so i'll just link a video about the sword.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G65JJpLAGdY It would be awesome if someone would make this. Since its such a rare and good sword. I suggest make it expensive to make and maybe do a special forge to make it, since it requires so much heat to forge steel with so little impurities. Id say standard damage without any help from the one handed skill tree to be - 44 damage 17 weight 10 000 value. Or something like that. The video explains the whole thing about the sword so i suggest watching it.
Tudwall
I love this idea !I've just seen the video and I want a mod with this sword too.Like you said, it must be crafted in a special forge. Make a one handed version and a two handed version seems to be a good idea to me."+ULFBERH+T" is the version with the best steel :)

Tudwall
44 damage 17 weight 10 000 value. Or something like that. In the video, they said that the sword is very light so I think the weight need to be somethnig like 10 or 8.
Deleted150604User
I actually have a mod of this I'm working on right now, The only problem is that the iron sword's mapipng kinda sucks and I need to fix the text. I essentially have it in as a Skyforge Steel sword and two handed sword in stats, but with the silver boost to account for the use of bonemeal/ancestor/animal power that comes with the carbon. Essentially it needs a bit more work, but I like it and use it, so I might just release it as is for now. For one, I need to write the letters out again, since I left out one or two by mistake. In mine it isn't exactly hard to make or rare because I imply it's the ancient and post Ysgramor nord's cultural icon with a book, implying that it was common enough practice to make one before, at least a few eras ago, and that now they're a little less, but it's tradition that people want to keep going. It's sort of getting its revival in Skyrim's time of proving true nord spirit. Balimund and Eorlund Greymane are in on this, but mostly Balimund, as I've implied it's part of his father's life's work. All you need is iron, leather strips (dunno if I'm keeping them), and two portions of bone meal for carbon. From my ingame book (which I need to work over some more): "While the Ulfberht is technically an iron sword in make, it diverges with the addition of bonemeal, traditionally ground from the bones of an ancestor, a fierce beast, or a worthy adversary. This makes it a blessed steel sword with an amazingly resiliency, and flexibility. This historically has made it a brutal front line weapon of Nord families and armies. It is said that even the Akavirii Dragonguard were wary of Nordic warriors and their 'mongrel steel.'" http://i.imgur.com/nylRvFX.jpg http://i.imgur.com/RVi9oOp.jpg http://i.imgur.com/y1WXr05.jpg Edited April 14, 2014 by Guest
civicboy91
Would love to see this mod but with more variants. But to craft them you need to make special ingots Plain steel ingot with charcoal for a low stat version Steel ingot with bone meal in it for medium stat version And a dragonbone version that needs steel ingot with dragonbone and when you go to craft it you need dragonbone for handle. Ingots with bone need to be smelted in the forge. Or maybe you can only buy them from Ulfberth War-Bear in white run. This sword would also make a rely nice base http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12449/?
