KutanCoon
So, I have FOOK, FWE and MMM installed. Everything works fine and dandy, and I've put hours and hours into my game with no issues. However, there's a recurring problem which is mildly annoying. I believe FOOK reimplemented the unused items, and in particular I'm seeing the unused raider armor popping up. However, on both NPCs and myself, it causes an odd texture issue-- it seems to take on the textures of surrounding objects, and changes depending on the viewing angle. http://i42.tinypic.com/2j2u8wg.jpgLink to bigger pic here As you can see, the armor's borrowing the texture from the sheet metal I'm standing on, holes and all. Anyone encountered anything like this, or have a fix? EDIT: I've done some digging around, and it looks like it's a problem with the mod Raiders Regulators Talon Expanded. Seems this is part of FOOK. None of the other FOOK custom items have given me any issues at all; the textures display fine and they're completely usable. Is there any way for me to disable Raiders Regulators Talon Expanded specifically? FOOK puts the textures in textures\CGC\armor\RaiderMercenaryExpanded, and I've tried removing the entire directory... and the armor shows up exactly the same when I do. I'm guessing it's an issue with the game not being able to find the textures, since the end result is the same whether they're there or not. Any help would be great. Wandik
hm... by removing the textures in the described path, you won't fix anything... there will be no "default" texture instead it, but error only... i have some problems with FOOK/MMM (both mods that affect raiders) too, textures are visible, but sometimes with red exclamation marks :( i suggest to find this armor id (in console - just put the armor on the ground, press console key and click the armor with mouse, it will display it's id), and then check it with FO3edit to see, which mod is last to affect it - and there might be the problem, just check the references to this mod... maybe you missed something during installation
KutanCoon
Thanks for the post. I looked the armor up in FO3Edit before, but I wasn't sure how it would help the problem. However, I'll gladly report the info: The armors are referenced by FWE_05_ITEMLOOT.esp and FWE_05_ITEMLOOTII.esp. They aren't referenced by FOOK. In the view tab, FWE conflicts (and wins) with FOOK over object effect, repair list, value, weight, and AR. These are all just gameplay tweaks and don't seem to have any relevance to the texture issue. Heeding your advice, I went ahead and looked at FWE, since it takes precedence over FOOK... I downloaded the Master Release 1 Assets, (even though I'm using version 5.0), and it added a whole ton of textures (close to 400), so I was almost certain it was going to fix it. It didn't. I dug through the archive, and the textures it adds are all weapon textures... no armor at all. Then I looked through my FO3 folder again, and realized that I unpacked all the asset folders in the root directory. TL;DR: I'm and idiot, and I fixed it. Sorry for inconveniencing anyone :wallbash:
