I genunely cannot believe how they've managed to take controls that were already really bad (but fine with rebind) and make them 10x worse by forcing you to use mouse for pitch control.

 

Please tell me there's a mod that lets you rebind these keys? I know I can plug in a gamepad and it'll probably be better but that is just too much messing about for me and it'll ruin the fun.

 

In the originals I just used to rebind the keys so that WASD were forward/backwards/sideways tilt and jump/crouch keys controlled the ascent and descent, then it was easy and convenient to aim the guns with the mouse. In the definitive edition this only works well for helicopters.. with planes the rudders are locked to the mouse and its just completely awful!
