[LE] I want a mod that lets you have more than one radiant quest.

Traveled down to Falkreath all the way from Solitude to get the thane quest there. Siddgeir mysteriously refuses to give me the quest no matter what I do. I tried doing various quests around Falkreath hoping that would unlock it, but it did not. Then I remember: bethesda is run by f*#@ing idiots that don't know the first thing about designing a game (thank god for modders). I got a radiant quest for a quest mod that I can't complete due to the area being quest locked. This means that I'm locked out of ALL thane quests all for a stupid little worthless side-quest that is COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO EVERYTHING ELSE.

 

Now, I'm sitting here in falkreath, completely unable to do what I came here to do despite swearing that I would not leave the area until I got thanedom for safety's sake. Worse yet, I'll lose MAMMOTHS AMOUNT OF PROGRESS. If I try to load an earlier save from before this stupid mod gave me this worthless radiant quest (assuming I even have a save that far back). I didn't even want it; I was just checking to see if I met the requirements for the next stage of the mod's quest line.

 

I tried searching for 'radiant', but nothing came up. Surely someone must have fixed this utterly CRUEL gameplay feature that just RANDOMLY LOCKS YOU OUT OF HALF THE GAME WITHOUT ANY WARNING WHAT SO EVER. I've even had this problem without freaking mods. I get a bounty quest I find I can't complete due to the dungeon being super high level, so I decided to do the sensible thing and come back later. Except, my ENTIRE PLAYTHROUGH IS RUINED, because that one stupid little bounty quest won't let me DO ANYTHING ELSE. Forcing me to RESTART WITH A NEW PLAYTHROUGH.

 

Sorry, I'm really sour over this. I'm so sick of this stupid gameplay mechanic that SERVES NO PURPOSE WHAT SO EVER DESTROYING MY GAMES. I mean, what am I supposed to do here? The area is freaking quest-locked, so I can't complete it without starting dragon rising, which could make me unable to get thanedom in Falkreath. I'm trapped in a catch-22 situation that I have no way out of. And yes, I just checked; I don't have a save file from before I got that stupid radiant quest.

 

If I can't find a mod that fixes this stupid GLITCH, I'll have to start all over all over again. Can't I get past level freaking 10 before SOMETHING BREAKS AND GOES COMPLETELY WRONG? I actually quit playing skyrim for like 6 months just because I was so fed up with being UNABLE TO PLAY THE DAMNED THING FOR ANOTHER UTTERLY STUPID REASON I COULD HAVE DONE NOTHING TO AVOID AND HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH A MOD AT ALL BTW. Sorry again. Point is, I'm seriously getting demoralized with this game.

 

Seriously, surely someone must have addressed this glitch by now? It locks you out of major quest lines. I mean, you seriously CAN'T PROGRESS GUILDS LIKE THE COMPANIONS OR THE DARK BROTHERHOOD IF YOU HAVE ONE RANDOM QUEST THAT HAPPENS TO HAVE THE BS 'RADIANT' TAG HIDDEN ON IT. How utterly stupid is that??? Why has the unofficial patch never addressed this? Its clearly so GAMEBREAKING, it should've been among the top priority issues to fix. Why doesn't it? Seriously?

 

edit: Upon further investigation, that mod quest wasn't what's blocking Siddgeir's quest. For a while I thought it was the 'ice wraith teeth' quest from Riften. That didn't fix the problem though. Researching it on the UESP, apparently its actually getting blocked by this quest to bring an amulet of arkay to some npc in Windhelm.

 

This really needs to get fixed. Its a nightmare figuring out what quest is blocking what. Why has no one ever addressed this? Why should an insignificant side quest on the opposite side of the map block me from doing a completely unrelated quest on the opposite side? Seriously.

You can skip the Rare Gifts quest that starts off the quest chain for Falkreath Thane, if you have Hearthfires and reach level 10. Once at level 10, you will get a letter from the Jarl asking to see you.

 

If you do not have Hearthfires, then you will need to complete whatever radiant quest you have that is shared on the Rare Gifts quest record (see here). None of those quests require a specific instance. Just getting a copy from anywhere in the game world should suffice.

 

This is not something that will be "fixed" with the unofficial patches as it is outside of their scope.

I have Timing is Everything delaying that quest until level 20 something. So no, I won't receive his quest for a long time, and I keep it delayed so long to ensure I could actually get any three of the possible quests, rather than just the falkreath one (a lot of people mistakeningly believe you can only get him since he's the only one who you meet the level requirement for when you get that letter in vanilla, the extra ones were meant for people who installed hearthfire later on in their playthrough). I'm actually level 14 now infact.

 

That said, I'm having issues with this 'rare gifts' thing. Like I stated before, I'm still not sure which quest I have is blocking it. Also, I died to some riekling chargers near windhelm (I have immersive creatures installed) when I went over there to try and hunt for ice wraith teeth. Yeah, fun times, all because I couldn't do a stupid little side quest because I had another active that clearly had absolutely nothing to do with it. I even had the blackbriar mead in my inventory too, which is why I actually went over to riften in the first place. I decided to try and became thane of that before I moved on, but I couldn't because I didn't have the money to buy the house at the time.

 

And yeah, I'm having all sorts of problems. Those stupid OP mounted rieklings are preventing me from hunting for ice wraiths, I can't start a thane quest because of another quest I'm now sure which yet, and I couldn't became thane of the rift either because I didn't have enough money. Fml...
