Does anyone have any idea where in the game files the parameter to enable/disable the critical hit slow motion effect might be?

 

In DL1, in Data0.pak/data/skills/, there's an XML file named "default_levels" with a parameter named "SlowMoProbability". You can set it to "0" and it will completely disable slow motion.

 

That same parameter is in DL2, located in Data0.pak/scripts/player/player_variables.scr, but setting it to "0" doesn't seem to have any effect. I still get slow motion on critical hits (and when you're high level, it happens pretty damn often).

 

I really dislike the slow mo effect. For me personally, it breaks immersion and severely interrupts the flow of combat. Would love to be able to disable it all together.
