Zer0 Suii
I downloaded two mods that were for adding new hair and eyes. One was the Ren Beauty Pack and the other was MHE. Now as I've seen in screenshots people take, usually with companions, they can get the NPCs to have hairstyles from the mods (this includes eyes too.) My problem is using these mods myself. I'll make an NPC, spend all the time in the world on them, and save my mod with the additions to stuff. I go into game and they have the "Blindfold" hairstyle (which is Oblivion's default "None" hairstyle.) Ontop of that, if I give them an Oblivion default hair, they do not have the eyes I gave them, just the blue eyes Oblivion reads as "None." I've checked that while in editor and before playing the game that the hair and eye mods are turned on. And I'll get the mentioned results. What I want to know is is there a way I can force NPCs to have the hair and eyes I put on them in the editing? Thanks. Oh, and Hi TESNexus! XJDHDR
I have a possible solution. It requires that you download BOSS and Wrye Bash. 1 ) Install BOSS and Wrye Bash.2 ) Run BOSS, so that your mods are arranged in the proper load order.3 ) Install the Bashed Patch, following the instructions in the Wrye Bash readme.4 ) While Wrye Bash is open, right-click on the Bashed Patch and click on "Rebuild Patch".5 ) Click on "Merge Patches" on the left then put a check in everything on the right and on Merge Patches.6 ) All the other options on the left might get a bit daunting, I suggest you use discretion as to what you want. Follow the instructions under 6 for all items related to body, eyes, hair, etc7 ) Rebuild the patch! I hope this helps.
SavageArtistry
It sounds like you have enough CS knowledge for me to suggest this. When you're putting hair and eyes onto an NPC, and aiming to use a different esp than something like MHE, you need to load up both the esp from the beauty pack with the esp you're working on (yours active of course) and then DUPLICATE the entries for the hair or eyes, assign the duplicates to the vanilla races, and then save. Once you do that, the duplicate entries will be saved with your esp and you can put them on your NPCs as you choose.

It took me a bit to understand the assigning thing, but I've got it covered now! Thank you very much!
SavageArtistry
Thank you VERY much! It took me a bit to understand the assigning thing, but I've got it covered now! Thank you very much! Sorry. For some reason I say "assign" but what I mean is you have to drag the hair entries to the appropriate box in the race option. In other words, the hair or eye must be associated with the race for it to work. Anyway, glad it's working for you now.
