ripple
Just to add. It's ok if you don't want to use SKSE. You do not even need to provide reasons for it, since it's no one's business. However. It's not ok to state publicly that SKSE mods is disproportionately prone to causing issues more so than non-SKSE mods, when there is no evidence to support such a claim. The logic that SKSE mods disproportionately cause more issues than non-SKSE mods merely on the basis that they 'do more', is akin to saying that meshes can be faulty and cause CTDs, so mods that add custom meshes will more likely cause CTDs than mods that do not--this is 'flawed reasoning' that is not substantiated by either evidence or logic (the most prevalent errors in Skyim mods are found in esp plugins). What's worse is that you singled out a utility as a (hypothetical) 'example' of something that disproportionately cause CTDs, conveying the impression that SKSE mods are typically less stable than non-SKSE mods--even though you are only using that as an 'example'--when that is clearly not the case. This may be taken as an 'fact' by new users, and borders on slander against SKSE (and by association, modders who use SKSE), which is unwarranted and must be countered, because if simply allowed to pass, it contributes to the pool of existing erroneous claims from users where the issues they reported with SKSE are caused by user end mistakes and problems, rather than the SKSE mods they are using. Shadeybladey
I'm trying to answer your question, but we're way off topic at this point and it's probably going to get locked. That seems to be a common theme with you. ;) Two out of three threads I have seen which have involved you have been locked. One was about selling new games and had only a single reply from a moderator when he locked it, the one about how many mods you should try at the same time and (with any luck) this one will be as well. This one has been taken way off topic by you as well. The OP was answered in the first few posts. SKSE does not make the game unstable. Bad mods, bad scripts, massively heavy textures, too many mods that conflict, bad load order and badly configured settings make the game unstable. There is absolutely no correlation between the use of SKSE and a bad mod that causes conflicts. And, as you say, how would you know anyway as you do not use it? But I would like you to post your mod list, to get some idea what mods you actually use and what sort of knowledge and experience you actually have. Cheers! ~.~

Quite right. There are far too many myths and rumours as it is. Incidentally, he put it in writing, so it is actually libel. Slander is verbal and much harder to prove. ~.~

Pretty sure the SKSE team does not have grounds to litigate anyone for 'damages' that might be caused by implying that SKSE contributes to game instability (since they make no profit from SKSE anyway). If they could, they'd be...rich. I agree this thread should probably be locked now. It's starting to look like we are 'dog-piling' him, when everyone involved just wants to clarify SKSE's 'reputation.' bben46
Again, the same people have taken a topic way off into their own debate - Please if you want to discuss this stop hijacking other peoples topics and start your own. Closed, as off topic hijacking has completely derailed the topic. :pinch:
