The NMM seems to work, it finds game folder , it downloads and load the mods into NMM, only once I want to load the mod into the game it doeesn't load mod files into Skyrim folder. I have no idea what could be wrong. Help! And sorry for my english.
DanielCoffey
Is Skyrim installed in the place that NMM is expecting it? I assume NMM has a Path setting that tells it where Skyrim is located. I also assume you have Activated the mod in NMM?
Azakiel
Did you install Skyrim directly into the program files folder on your hard drive, or elsewhere? If so, NMM may be having trouble making changes to that folder due to OS restrictions (assuming you are running Vista or higher) Edited December 27, 2013 by Azakiel
Syngrith
I'm running 7, skyrim game folder is on D drive, (same as on old computer) and I have no idea, why It won't work. Edited December 27, 2013 by Syngrith
bben46
NMM does not load files directly into the Skyrim data folder - it downloads them into it's own folder that you told it where to put when you installed NMM. Then you should see that mod listed on the MODS tab - but NOT on the Plugins tab of NMM - at that time they are not in the Skyrim Data folder. When you activate the mod on the MODS tab, then it installs the mod to where you told it you had Skyrim installed. And it should show on the plugins tab with a check in the box to let you know it is active. Then it should show up in the data folder as well. If you made any changes to the default locations - or have changed where Skyrim is located it cannot find it until you change the location it looks for in NMM. My guess is instead of installing something that needed installing, you copied it over to the new computer instead.
Syngrith
I usually know what I'm doing with my computer, and I know how to use NMM. That's what I did: 1. Instaled Steam Skyrim2. Updated the game3. Installed SKSE4. Installed NMM5. Added old modes from pendrive to NMM.6. Activated the modes in NMM.7. Installed some modes from Steam Workshop8. Played the game, realised that steam mods work, and nexus don't.9. Checked Skyrim/Data, found no nexus mod files10. Reinstalled older version od NMM, didn't help.11. Installing the mods manually (passing the files into game folder) do work. I have no idea what is wrong.
ripple
Things to double check:- under the plugins tab in NMM, are the esp's checked/active?- look in your '..../Skyrim/data/....' folder and check if NMM installed mods show up there. Syngrith
Reinstalled Skyrim and NMM, still nothing, downloaded Skyrim Mod Organizer and it worked, so it's some bug in NMM. Either way problem solved.
Sebiale
MO doesn't load files into the Skyrim folder either, they're all kept separate.Which is really nice, because it used to just be an absolute mess in there if you were running a lot of mods.
