gyashaa
It really irks me that npcs that have an older face complexion (age 40 or 50) do not have an older body to match. For example: Uthgerd The Unbroken. Bethesda got away with it by covering her whole body with armor but change/remove her armor and you will see that she has a 20 year old body with a 50 year old face. talk about a butterface! The truly old people (70+) got their own body textures to match their face, so why not the ones from 40-50? It would be great to have at least some normal/specular maps as a resource. Thank you to anyone interested. =)
anjenthedog
there are (afaik) 'older people" body textures. At least I'm pretty sure I've scanned at least a couple of mods on the "new mods" page in passing that advertised as being such. You may have to hunt around in mod categories a bit to find them, or use the nexus search tool, or even a widenet search like "skyrim special edition body textures old older middle aged" or a similar search phrase. scorrp10
Make a search for 'Mature'. A fair few skins should come up. The question really is how to apply those. Skyrim has a 'complexion' slider which selects texture set to apply to face, but it does not affect body. Vanilla body textures made all bodies look old. One can create a bunch of texture sets, put them in a form list, and set that list as 'Skin Texture Swap List' on the 'NakedTorso' ArmorAddon. But unfortunately, that list is tied to weight slider, of all things. More suitable for muscle definition than age. One option would be to say, create texture set for 'mature' skin', create a 'MatureNakedTorso'(Feet/Hands) ArmorAddon, and create 'MatureNakedSkin' armor. Then assign that as skin for 'mature' NPCs' But I, personally, opted to go the other way.
anjenthedog
Yes..."mature" is a good search term... In addition, some "artful" followup with dirt, blemish, scar, and other overlay textures in Racemenu (not to mention some additional sag and bloat tweaks using the various sliders) could probably go a long way to "tarnishing" the "youthful body glam factor" we get with too many body mod mods, if you catch my drift. Community Textures (I think that's the name) is one you might have a look as well
