chase94
I'v encounter a very annoying bug. When I am in 1st person view and i try to draw my weapon, it doesn't exactly work correctly. My character's hands go up like he's holding up a sword but, my swords are still in the holster. It won't attack at all, and once i have got my weapon drawn i can't put it back. It's stuck like he's holding an invisible weapon that can't attack at all or be put back down. If i change weapons or switch to magic in the inventory nothing happens. If i get rid of any weapon or magic completely he just hold his fists up like he's ready to attack still, but i still can't put my fists down or attack at all. This only happens if i try to draw my weapon in 1st person view. Everything is normal and works fine in 3rd person. I don't think it's a mod causing this because i disables all my mods and DLC and it still happens. I also tried to go back to an older save, but the problem followed me there. I even reinstalled the game, and it still happens. I did a lot of Googling and couldn't find anyone with the same problem. This glitch sucks though because i always like to use 1st person for combat and sneaking. Can anyone help me? I'll link a video as soon as it gets uploaded to youtube. It was too big to attach. This is what it looks like. He in a stance like he's holding both swords but there's nothing there. The swords are still in the holster, and i can't attack at all or put my weapon back down after it's drawn  Edited December 28, 2013 by chase94
Osheanity
Assuming you have skyrim updated to its most recent version I would try installing the unofficial skyrim patch: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19/?other than that sense you disabled all your mods and re-installed I'm not sure what to tell you. I downloaded the uofficial patch and the DLC patches and went back to an older save before i had the problem and now it works. However there is still one minor bug. I can't draw or sheath my weapon when i'm walking or running in 1st person. I had this bug before the one where my weapons were invisible and i could attack or anything. 3rd person is still ok though.

Crywren
Happened to me once. I typed "showracemenu" in console, exited and after a few seconds I drew my weapon and sheathed. Everything was back to normal. Maybe it'll work for you too?
nagrom2608
Okay I know this is a REALLY old thread, but I'm playing through Skyrim again, and I've just encountered this problem. After TRYING to debug my borked game. I've tried the unofficial patch, the "Showracemenu" fix, and removing all but the save files. As suggested above. But nothing seems to work. I have magic, heal, set to one of my quick keys. As soon as I switch to that, my hands are stuck. I can use the spell, or hold any other weapon. I've had MAJOR problems with skyrim constantly the last few days. Everytime I fix one issue, another arrises. This being the latest. Any other advice would be greatly apriciated. Do you have any attack speed edits? If you have more than one (Disparity adds one if you use that, as do many other mods), it will definitely have problems. If you have one try disabling it.If that doesn't work, try this in the console command; player.setav weaponspeedmult 1^this is the default value. I've had it happen to me a few times and that usually fixes it.
