For the past two weeks I've been working non stop on my upcoming mod The Children Of Cold Harbor. Now I've created a completely new world space and I'm designing it from the ground up. Now the issue I'm having is that I want to have a constant eclipse on the sun within the world space (The effect used to block out the sun in dawnguard). I've selected the default sun texture because there isn't an eclipse texture for the sun, so i set it as a 100% chance to have the eclipse but the eclipse never happens in the creation kit or in the game. I've tried google but nothing seems to show me how I would accomplish this. Any help would be greatly appreciated and much needed. Assuming you have skyrim updated to its most recent version I would try installing the unofficial skyrim patch: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19/? other than that sense you disabled all your mods and re-installed I'm not sure what to tell you.

Make a new cell for the upstairs, make a door leading to upstairs then place a marker for the new cell. Duplicate all the work you've done in the cell then delete the downstairs section. PM me if you need more help

As for the damage skyre modifies it yes but a lot of it is based off the perks you have, if your getting you ass handed to you try lowering the difficulty ;) also to get the full use of the mod your going to need the uncapper mod to let your stats get above 100, the base damage of swords and such change with your perks ie if you have points in one handed skill tree your sword damage will increase.

Ah s***.. Probably should have looked that up before I started work, another learning curve I guess. Alright so for large scale changes on the interior, should I create a quest that begins at the end of the dawnguard questline (vampire side) then use that script you mentioned earlier to disable and add all the changes that I want?

I'm currently creating a mod that rebuilds castle volkihar to its former glory. Removing rubble recreating the lost sections of the castle etc. Now I've duplicated all the interior cells and made my modifications and when I'm completely done I'm going to create a script to switch the cells out to the new ones (a lot like purchasing new homes in oblivion and then buying parts of the home) now I want to edit and change the castle volkihar courtyard as a world space but every time i try to duplicate it, the whole CK crashes on me. Any ideas for a work around? Thanks for the help!

I added the GetIsID to the quest data tab pointing to the npc i wanted but still no dialogue, but the quest stages shouldn't be related to this issues should it? I mean the dialogue isn't even showing up and the quest stages only apply when the quest actually starts, for each topic branch i have a condition pointing the the npc i want using the GetisID the quest wont start until you make a choice of accepting the book at the end of dialogue. I've been creating my own mod but I've run into an issue i have dialogue to start my quest but none of the dialogue ever shows up. Yes I've created an SEQ file moved it into my Skyrim/data/SEQ folder. Originally I had the NPC selected through an alias using the GetIsAliasRef but that didn't work so i tried using the GetIsID that didn't work either. I went back through the creation kit wiki dialogue tutorial to see if i missed a step but I did everything properly. I'm creating a mod and I want it to start at a certain time of day (hour), I've searched the creation kit wiki for the correct script fragment but I can't find it. I want the script to go in the quest stage papyrus fragment section I know how to start the quest I just need that line of code. If ?????? I'm not the greatest at explaining everything check out the tutorial it will explain everything I'm trying to say. :happy:

I recommend downloading BOSS: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6/? I don't have much experience using NMM and don't really like it much as I tend to install all of my mods manually. BOSS will rearrange your load order to help stop any conflicts. I have one solution but with the amount of mods that you have I suggest waiting for someone who is more experienced in finding mod conflicts to assist you. My method would be going through your entire load order disabling mods to see which mod causes the issue. The one thing you should do is disable all of your mods and see if the issues are still happening with the base game. When your installing mods always check what the mods are compatible with it. My mistake I didn't read your post properly, I took it that you had a version of better vampires without dawnguard but when you got dawnguard you immediately upgraded better vampires to the dawnguard version heh whoops :ohdear:

You should defiantly try that, and sorry for taking so long to post back my summer job started, I've been busy :happy:. But your next step is yes activate 5 mods check if they crash, if it doesn't keep adding 5 more mods until you find the mod that crashes your game. I know its a pain in the ass but that's usually how i find my problem. I might be wrong, but to me everything from your papyrus log seems to point in the direction of installing the mods incorrectly. Do you install your mods manually or do you install them through NMM?

The reason you were probably crashing before is because your old save was running on an old version of better vampires, when you upgraded and loaded that old save the game was looking for the older version of better vampires but instead got a new version. Or something along the lines of that, I believe that you didn't follow the upgrade steps on the better vampires mod page you should probably check that out if you wanna save your old character ;)

Alright disable all of your mods but keep the Skyrim.esm and any of the official DLC you have checked and try again. If you crash again then its probably something to do with the actual game and not a mod conflict, in that case I won't be able to help you, lets cross our fingers. Again just like before if you crash post your log again. :biggrin:

He's right, complete all the creation kit tutorials: http://www.creationkit.com/Main_Page learn the scripting tutorial and the quest tutorials from there your going to have to start from scratch and build your skills as you create the mod.

Try posting a comment on the mod asking about this or read through comments to see if anyone else had this issue. Beyond that I can't help much because I don't know the ins and outs of the mod.

hmmm it looks like the mods that upgrade the cities (whiteruninenhanced.esp etc) are either conflicting with another mod or are installed incorrectly. Try un-checking their esp's then reloading the game with a clean save. If the CTD still persists then re-post your papyrus log.

I'm just learning the scene system myself but have you tried creating a property for your scene and then calling it in the BardSongs Quest? Then start it for each function by putting this line under the function start: "YourPropertyName".start () Do that for every function in the script. I put it just above "EndFunction" I'm not sure if this is correct so you can try it and see if it works. The reason why im thinking for every function is because for every function its stating a different song if you add "YourPropertyName".Start () Your scene should run for every combination of bard songs in the game. See if that works then let me know.

I don't have much experience with importing custom armors but I assume that you went into the CK and created a brand new armor and applied your textures/meshes with the proper directory in your skyrim/data folder? Well your problem is probably that you have conflicting mods. Try to remember what mods you installed recently and when the error started happening from there start to disable the mods. Keep disabling until you find the mod that's causing the crash. If doing that doesn't help then your going to have to disable all of the mods and then enable say 50 of them and see if that works. if you crash then its one of those 50 if you don't then keep adding mods, but take it slow so you don't have to do it again. Before you start to enable all of them again try launching the game without any mods just to make sure that works.

I don't have much experience with NMM because i prefer to manually install all of my mods. If your willing i can help you install it manually.

Well generally the NPC will say an offhanded comment by default.. I think i understand that you want more immersion to the NPC dialogue. To do that you would have to go through and edit all of the A.I packages and add in the dialogue that you want. No one has done this because that is a very tedious job (or I'm guessing) I'm not even sure if you can go through and edit the opening dialogue either. You welcome to go ahead and try. If anyone else notices errors in what I'm saying then please feel free to correct me.
