Failed To Update Masterlist

ThunderRunner

Recommended Posts

I am having this issues as well. I have done an complete uninstall and reinstall. I have not installed anything but I get the same errors as the OP as soon as I start Vortex.

I noticed that folder path in the error: C:\users\username\appdata\roaming\vortex\fallout4\masterlist does not exist on my machine. I have NOT installed any mods, so that maybe why but I do not know.

If anyone has any thoughts it would be great.

Updated.

On my machine I when to C:\users\username\appdata\roaming\vortex. Right-Clicked the folder, selected properties, selected the security tab, and add the local computer users group and gave them full control of the vortex folder and all sub-folders/files. That has taken care of the popup issue regarding the masterlist.

Now Vortex is still not updating my mods, but I no longer have the popup about the masterlist.

Running into this issue as well - Never had to deal with it before. ETIMEOUT as well downloading a new collection.

I've uninstalled my vpn, completely disabled firewall, uninstalled the game, the mods, vortex, cleared cookies, cleared temp files, got rid of everything. Downloaded a fresh version of vortex and still running into it.

you stopped short of formatting your hard disk and setting fire to your pc. i mean if you're going to go ham, go full ham.

the issue is a network connection issue from your pc to github. that's all.

as with any server on the internet, connections can fail.

all you need to do is wait a while and try again.

"Failed to update masterlist vortex"
