gmg2dave
Driving me nuts and can't run it down but basically whenever I have a companion or NPC, like the BoS, who is in power armor the entire screen shakes whenever they move. Like they are shaking the ground when they walk and their footsteps are excessively loud. I've tried disabling the mods I have that effect power armor, specifically Perennial Power Armor, Lima Detachment, Power Armor Materials and Paint, & Enclave Power armor and it is still happening. I thought it might be Power Armor Movement and Sound, as I had that installed at one point, but I have removed it, and made sure the associated files also got removed, but the problem still persists. Not sure where else to look, but if anyone knows what is causing it, or could even point me to the record in xedit that would be causing it, it would be greatly appreciated. I think that is Vanilla.Same effect as when a deathclaw walks near you. The weight of their PA shakes the ground when they walk close. I only noticed it recently as well when I used the "settlers into PA mod" to have PA sporting NPC support on demanding missions in the glowing Sea ( Atoms Storms is a kick ass quest mod, level 50 plus only) I agree its excessive (how bad is your shake?) but it doesnt bother me too much.(assuming your noise/shake is the same level as mine)

If it is vanilla I'll either deal with it, or hopefully find a mod that removes it. I put my followers all in PA when going into the Glowing Sea, and the cumulative effect is quite bad. I also run a mod that lets me recruit settlers as followers. So when I downloaded Atom's storm, even though I was at a good level with very good gear, it became quickly clear that the Minutemen had to bring their A game if they wanted to project power into the Glowing Sea.Solo missons, which is my preferred play style, would not cut it anymore. So I DLed 2 mods, amazing follower tweaks and used it to select as followers3 settlers and buffed them a bit via the mod (They were far harbor settlers to begin with, I prefer to spawn male far harbor settlers since they inherently have a higher level than commonwelth settlers for my fighters)Then I used a mod to assign settlers to power armor. Since Somerville was the most threatned settlement ( by its proximity) I turned the place into a garrison. It was pretty buff to begin with, since I always buff up Somerville since its out there on its own too far from a fast MM response ( if this was all real which is how I like to think/play about it)But now I committed a full third+ of the entire minuteman power armor fleet to garrison Somerville (the rest is securing the castle and sacntuary)2x X-01 Mk V, 3x SE-01F with the lead lining (1700+ radiation resistnce), and 2x T60a and 1x T60f.All manned by my best Somerville settlers armed with the best vanilla weapons in the game (leveled miniguns, missle launchers, a couple of legendaries ) One of them is Luke, a minuteman veteran which levels with the player, a settler from tales of the commonwealth, he is a drunk but fights very hard for you an dis proud to be part of the minutemen again despite his history of drunkeness. And they are supported by another dozen+ of Combat armor sporting high end weapons wielding settler fighters (mostly spawn far habor fighters, I dont like ot use the settelment beacons)Even my farm girls are armed but they are set via amazing follower tweaks to run the opposite direction from any battle. They are beauties many of them carry babies and I dont want them killed or even hurt.(Settler death is turned on for all adults, for realism) Somerville is my main base from which to conduct raids into the Glowing Sea to disrupt Atom's Sword operations.Between the generous supply of heavy turrets and the heavy gunned PA users it wold take something like the Vanilla endgame institute or brotherhood castle attacks to have a chance to take Somerville.Since I usually travel Solo these Patrol missions is how I first experienced the thumb, thomb, of other PA users around me. Please check out my mission pics from the glowing sea in my image folder here on Nexus.
