Is there a way to solve or lessen cloth clipping? [Outfit Studio]

Recommended Posts

Hello

I've used Outfit Studio a few times but never could get the hang of physics. They usually clip, and I don't know if it is because of my mistake or if it is how it is. Here is an example of a simple outfit I made. This is an extreme case of clipping, it doesn't happen all the time, but other minor clippings do.

Is there a way to solve or at least lessen it? I searched for guides but I didn't find any that covers this kind of physics.

Thanks.

The only normal way is to do the same as in Skyrim. Attach skirt bones to the skeleton and give them cbp physics. The OS does not know how to properly copy cloth bones. There are no manuals for cloth bones. There is a tool in the bgs exporter (for 3ds 2013) for creating such bones, but there is no description, and I could not figure out how to use it. I already attached cbp bones for skirts, but I got tired of adjusting them. They also behave unstably... At some point, I realized that I would need 40-50 bones (all skirts have different shapes, lengths and physics) and abandoned this idea. Edited by South8028

Oh man, thats too bad. I suppose I should have expected it wouldn't be an easy task.

I think in case of cbbe you can find a way to copy bone_cloth from vanilla, or vtaw skirts. Either in Blender, or deal with the tool in the official plugin for 3ds. But, if you have a body with bones for ocbp (physics of the chest, buttocks, etc.), then bone_cloth is no longer suitable at all. Only do cbp physics with new bones for skirts. No more options.
