dirty weapons

Ive downloaded some weapon packs...and altough they are really cool im really looking for a mod that gives new weapons but then with a dirty old look to them....like they have been lying around for 200 years.

 

most weapons mods present nice weapons but the look like they just rolled of the factory and are brand spanking new.

that feels a bit strange to me in fallout3.

 

can anybody recommend a mod like im describing?

no because there is no switch which turns a weapon into a dirty looking variant. :P

 

Doing this is a lot of work especially if its still supposed to look good.

Not that farfetched to have weapons in good shape. Anybody who lets their firearm get all dirty and beat up would soon be dead, because they don't work so good if not maintained well. Considering that millions of firearms are made each year, there could be lots still laying around in unused condition even after 200 years. Especially with the drastic die-off of the population that might use them.

The best weapon in the Game for a small gun user is also the worst looking gun (condition wise). The Hunting Rifle...

 

 

You're right though. Alot of the guns in most mods look like they are shiny and new. Some even look like toy guns.

Keep your gun clean and repaired or the only wastelander that is going to kill is you.

 

Considering i've seen muskets from our independence wars (roughly around napoleon's time, little less than 200 years ago) that look pristine, and of said muskets of that time, those still able to fire are precisely those that look pristine....
