Okay so when AFTER i download and have all the 3 patches I need.. 1.0.0.15 + Fake v1.5 + Unofficial patch(latest) and I can play alright but then when I try to install the DLC it says "You own the original retail game, please download the latest patch at bethsoft.com." I think I may know the problem but I dont know how to fix it, I downloaded all the content in one simple installer so I cant do the hidden file search and move the files manually like in what the tutorials said and I have tried multiple times. I also cannot just get rid of Broken Steel to play because when I try it says the same thing, I can uninstall the files by clicking an .exe in the folder and I can play so its obviously a problem with the DLC, is there any way to fix this without having to buy each DLC seperately again? Oh and I did use the search button and came out with nothing related to this so if there is some topic that I missed please direct me to it. :thanks: I am very ignorant and I know I probably missed a step or did something completely wrong.

Edit: As stated in my other bad posts, Please delete the copies of this post, my internet failed me and I lagged and clicked the "Post" button too many times I guess out of impatience. Please forgive me and if there is a way to delete your own topic please tell me how.

Well, I ordered them on a disc from a website that I use a lot so it can't be a faulty DLC pack. Also the games DO work because when I first installed it and without all the modded items it allowed me to play these but I want mods and the game doesnt allow me to have mods AND play the DLC content.

Edit: I bought the game seperately, the I bought all the DLC on one disc.

Yep, using FOMM, I have tried the actual Launcher and the direct launch, they both crash when I try to load a save. I did the pinned tutorial and everything is right from what it appears. Should I try using one of the other methods? Or should i just buy the DLC seperately? Its not a huge deal but I don't want to waste money.

eh... I'd try a fresh install before spending all that money again. maybe something got fudged in the time between your dlc installs and your mod installs

Oh, I've done that 3 times, If i uninstall the DLC I can play fine with mods. But the first installation with the DLC, no mods, patch v1.15 it worked. So.. I guess I should just beat the DLC's 100% then play with mods? I'm not sure that would be worth it at all. Should I try the whole masterfiles with the FO3 method? I assume my whole problem is because I dont have v1.15. I really want DLC and mods together but I can live without if there is no solution.

if I understand it right, you can't download th DLCs? thats strange... however, everytime, there is a work around :) download 1.5, install it, download DLCs, install it, make backups of it's files, reinstall FO3 with fake etc, put DLCs back to appropriate location :)

if i remember it well, all DLC's have only esm and bsa files well named, and BS has some bik videos too...

I have solved my problem, it turns out that my Fallout3.ini was the problem, after following TeeFwocks (ty)'s fresh install plan, I looked out how to make a clean install, and something in my Fallout 3 (my document folder) was the problem, so I assume it was Fallout3.ini. Thank you for the help.
