What is all this modding terms?

Hi peeps, so I'm generally new to modding skyrim and have been at it for a few days and I've come across many terms specifically in character modding that I don't understand. I've searched around places and can't find any help, for example what does UNP, UNP BBP and all that mean? is there some glossary to refer to...

and while i'm at it! i've just downloaded this mod:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21271/?

and it states "Important: if you want to install any bouncy (BBP) version of this mod, make sure you're using the right pack version of the UNPB-BBP body including the skeleton meshes and animations. Either the version with subtle animations or more noticeable ones. If you don't have the required animations and skeleton installed your game will simply ctd"

I'm guessing I need some sort of mesh or skeleton to make it work because I tried some custom clothing from this mod and place them on my skyrim spouse and it CTD

I currently have

SKSE, SMIM, all unoffical patches + DLC, and currently fiddling with some Models and textures mod to try fix this problem

Thanks for any help!

UNP = UNPretended body; it's a body mod

UNPB= UNP+Blessed; it's a curvier more fantasy based version of unp

BBP = Better Bouncing Physics; it gives an added jiggle that some people seem to like.

BBP mods require a certain skeleton as well as meshes that work with that skeleton and are incompatible with mods that don't use either. Same goes for the vice versa, mods that don't require BBP skeletons don't work with BBP.

All of that should be reasonably easy to figure out from reading the mod descriptions and requirements. No there's no glossery of terms. Most but not all of them are from mods located in the top 100 files list, they're used so often and since the current trend is to create long unappealing titles that lend themselves better to acronyms, most people just get used to using them and forget how confusing they can be to a newbie.

I'd suggest taking a look at the top 100 list and noting the acronyms for the mods on it that have them (most that have one will list it in their title as well as the original mod name).

Yay, found the glossary I made before.

7B = 'SevenBase'. A female body mod.

ADEC = 'AcDale's Eye Candy. A female body mod.

AFT = 'Amazing Follower Tweaks'. A mod that changes follower behaviour and mechanics.

BBP = 'Breast and Butt Physics'. Edited skeleton and animations to make the breasts and buttocks move. Variation: TBBP, 'Tender Breast and Butt Physics'. Oblivion and Fallout had BBB 'Better Bouncing Breasts'.

BOSS = 'Better Oblivion Sorting Software'. A tool to sort the load order (not just for Oblivion; works for Skyrim, and Fallout3/New Vegas.)

CBBE - 'Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Edition'. A female body mod.

CHSBHC = 'Cherry Hotaling's Super Busty H-Cup'. A female body mod.

CK = 'Creation Kit'. Main modding tool for Skyrim.

CNHF = 'Calyps and Nuska's Heroic Female'. A female body mod.

CoT = 'Climates of Tamriel'. A weather and lighting overhaul.

DCO = 'Dragon Combat Overhaul'. Erm...overhauls combat with dragons.

ECE = 'Enhanced Character Edit'. Overhaul for the character creation screen.

EEO = 'Ethereal Elven Overhaul'. Like ECE, but for elves. Also affects NPCs.

NMM = 'Nexus Mod Manager'. A mod managing/installing/uninstalling tool.

SFO = 'Skyrim Flora Overhaul'. Retextures and remeshes the flora in Skyrim.

SKSE = 'Skyrim Script Extender'. Changes the way Skyrim deals with scripts, allowing the game to do things that wouldn't be possible without it.

SMIM = 'Static Mesh Improvement Mod'. Fixes and/or improves the meshes and some textures of various things in the game.

SoS = 'Sounds of Skyrim'. A sound overhaul that brings more ambient sounds to the game. Not to be confused with SoS (Schlongs of Skyrim) which animates the male genitalia. Be aware of context.

TES5Edit = 'The Elder Scrolls 5 Editor'. A tool for mod cleaning and editing.

UFO = 'Ultimate Follower Overhaul'. A seemingly abandoned mod that changes follower behaviour and mechanics.

USKP = 'Unofficial Skyrim Patch'. Patches the bugs BethSoft didn't. Also: UDGP, UDBP, UHFP for Dawnguard, Dragonborn and Hearthfire, respectively.

UNP = 'UNPretended'. A female body mod. Variations: UNPB (UNP Blessed), UNPC (UNP Curvy) etc.

WATER = 'Water And Terrain Enhancement Redux'. Water overhaul mod.
