Tony the Wookie
Ok, I really don't know the first thing about trying to put a new UI (user interface) instide of Fallout, but I just wanted to know if this would even be possible, before I start trying to figure things out im not asking for people to make stuff for me, I just don't want to waste my time if it isn't possible.... not that I would care if someone took this idea and made it but anyways right now I have my game setup with about 5 different races for each race. ex. Asian Female (default)Asian Female MakeupAsian Female Type 3 SlimAsian Female Type 3 CaliAsian Female Type 3 Cali Makeup and it is the same for every race... so I just wanted to know if it would be possible to create a UI that was part of the begining character design part, that would let you first select the race, then select from different makeup textures, then select from different body types (all of which would have to be compatible with the same armor meshes) i also want to know if it would be possible to add in a height option on the UI at the begining
Skree000
i too have these questions, but never got around to asking them. i always wondered if i could add a bodymod just for myself.. would i have to make a new race for that?
theLeeHarvey
This has come up in other threads and so far the general consensus seems to be that it would be too complicated to bother.
TGBlank
True UI editing is extremely limited, and the way it works it is only possible to have one ui-affecting mod at the time, a reason why most of us lack any practical knowledge in doing UIs. Perhaps HugePinball or Darn could answer your questions, but i seriously doubt many others could.Other than that, you can do dialogue-type UIs and messageboxes, these are far more compatible, but much more limited. Remember that you can also toy with the age, different ages can have different meshes/skin color/texture and therefore you could change between body types by changing the age, this is, i believe, safer (skill-wise) than changing the race directly. Tony the Wookie
i too have these questions, but never got around to asking them. i always wondered if i could add a bodymod just for myself.. would i have to make a new race for that? thats what i did, just make a new race for just your character, and put in all the custom stuff you want, bodytype, texture, height just remember that the armor meshes will still be the same, so unless you want to put in custom outfits for your player, it will realy defeat the purpose of doing it... but anyways, if it is that complex I won't even try, since I realy don't know anything about setting that stuff up... and my time could be better spent working on my 3d models or simple mods in the geck but thanks for the answers, saved me some time
