So I once upon a roleplay in skyrim I restricted myself from looting armour and weapon from foes and as well restricted use of crafting, then I came up to mod ideas that seems to be already implemented in other mod, so I starded to make crafting overhaul first but what abou my other idea, like I wanted to make mod that not alloving you to loot armour and weapon from dead bodies, but there is already such a mod. What should I do? I am not quite agree with the way that mod ws implemented so I wish to create a mod with my own point of view on things, will that be allowed or what? You can make any modifications that you want for your personal game.

 

As far as sharing a mod that does something similar to other mods, as long as your mod does not use assets or files from the other mods and was done from scratch by you, then you are fine with sharing it. If your mod needs to edit stock files provided by the game and the other mods did so too, as long as your edits are your own and not direct copies of the other mods, it will be fine to share as well.

 

Case in point, I created a mod that would allow the player to obtain more wood when chopping at the chopping block. At the time, the mods that increased the amount of wood did so by changing a property value and every chopping event would yield that amount even if it caused the player to be encumbered. I wanted something that would allow the player to potentially chop more than the default 6 pieces of firewood but not exceed their carry capacity. Thus I modified the script to calculate how many pieces of firewood the player could currently carry and allow only chopping that amount while retaining the default 6 pieces as a minimum amount.

I wish someone would create a mod that lets you afopt all the kids in Skyrim. I mean you can have multiple houses.
