guerte
I use the nexus mod manager to easily install most of my mods, but some just don't work? I'd install mods and only the terrain texture and visual overhaul mods, etc; would work and appear in the plugin load order, but other mods that I have like the unbp body mod, unvision face texture, and a quality world map do not appear in the load order and do not work as well. I did go to my SkyrimPrefs file and did all that fancy stuff, but I'm curious as to why only some mods work and some don't?? very frustrating is this a common issue? can someone help me fix this? here's a pic of my nexus mod manager for clarity
eSoDian
The mods you mentioned that don't show up in the Plugins tab are all replacers and don't require an .esp/.esm plugin for them to work.

But still, those mods don't work and i'm curious as to why and how to have them work? I installed them all using the nexus mod manager, will I have to do it manually now? They don't show up in the data files, if that has anything to do with it. Edited January 2, 2014 by guerte
Jeir
Did you actually check in game to see if they're working? As eSoDian said, they wont have any .esp/.esms (the plugins). Those are what would appear in Data Files.
DemongelRex
Most of those are texture replacers, so you'll have to actually look and care to see the difference. If you want to be an EpicElf, use Showracemenu with the console command and change your race.Climates of Tamriel adds new lighting and weathers so you will not see them immediately. And you installed Pure Waters and WATER which are incompatible. Just use one.

The HD textures do work though, the epic elf worked from the beginning, and so did the lighting mods. Really it's the body mods and face mods that don't work.. (and quality world map) and it's quite frustrating, the females and skyrim are so ugly and I was excited to get to change their appearance lol. Is there any fix to those mods not working? DemongelRex
Make sure the mod author doesn't say install manually. Typically I install texture mods manually. Extract the files into the texture folder of your Skyrim data folder.
