NanoDice
Okay, first of all, I did do a search and all the mods I found doesn't seem to work or have the same effect. This is what I want: resurrecting an npc so that they go through normal lives again. Specifically, I'm talking about the companions in whiterun who died while being followers. Their bodies are disappeared, but I was wondering if I could still resurrect them? I tried using "recycle all actor" (or something along those lines), which worked, but for some odd reason, they keep attacking me then being killed by guards.Upon their dead bodies, I tried using "resurrect" command. No luck.I tried using "The Resurector" mod, it crashed my game at the loading screen. What can I do to bring them back to life and into normal routine? Shadeybladey
PRID <NPC REF ID> (hit Return) Moveto Player will place their body near you if they are dead (do not use BASE ID, that will create a copy) Then try and resurrect them. EG, to resurrect Jenassa, PRID 000E1BA9 Moveto Player Then open console again, click on her and use Resurrect. You might have to use the PRID and Moveto commands a couple of times before it works. You can also use it to fetch them when they get lost. Or, to move to where they are: Player.moveto 000E1BA9 Player.moveto has a dot moveto player has no dot. ~.~
JobVanDam
I've been using this method for a long time now.Just wondering why sometimes do these commands not work at all? Even though I use the correct RefID if I'm not in the same cell as the NPC it can't find them. Also moveto player and resurrect don't work sometimes at all despite being in the same cell. I tried using player.setrelationshiprank REFID 2 and he still attacks me. What can I do to stop this?

No idea, I'm afraid. I just noticed that sometimes nothing happens, so I do it again and they teleport right to where I am. Using the Base ID creates a copy of the NPC divorced from all their scripts and quests, that's why REF ID has to be used. I also notice that sometimes other console commands stop working until I save, quit to desktop and re-load. TCL is one that sometimes will set to off, but not set to on again until I relaunch the save. Don't know why, but it can happen after playing for a while. If they are genuinely dead (killed after leaving you service etc), and you use Player.Moveto <REF ID>, you teleport to some strange, cross-shaped hall in the void, where there are dozens of corpses. ~.~

Sorry, another situation I have not come across. I have never used the recycle all actors command. Are you saying that because you used the recycle before, now that you use PRID <REF ID>, they are still hostile when you resurrect them? How ungrateful of them! You could try loading a save from before you used that command and see if they behave themselves. If it works, you can then decide whether to continue from that point with your restored followers, or carry on from where you are now without them. But don't forget, you can set them to be essential so they do not die in the first place. If you have the UFO mod for multiple followers, you can do this by saying "You know... You are important." If all else fails, using Base ID will create a copy of the follower and you should be able to hire them. They will be stripped of any scripts attached to them for quests, though. Some people will never resurrect a dead NPC. I don't see a problem, but I would prefer to have a spell or a staff to do it. And it should be a Master Level spell. ~.~
NanoDice
Hey, thank you so much for all your replies! I tried the PRID command before and after I tried the recycle all actors command. Both instances caused them to be aggressive towards me, which was strange. But I played the game again today and I teleported one of them towards me using the moveto player command and they seemed to have lost the aggresiveness. I could even speak with them, but they've lost some of the scripts, such as being a trainer. But oh well. I guess restarting the game did the trick. Shadeybladey
They should not do that if you used REF ID. Maybe because they were dead? Or were they dead because you had killed them? :D And while they were aggressive, you could not talk to them or submit? With UFO, you can say "You know... mistakes in combat happen, forgive and forget", and they will not go aggro at friendly fire. Useful when Lydia stands in front of your Fireball, or when you summon a Storm Atronach and they get too close, and they start to fight each other instead! There is another follower mod (AFT? - Amazing Follower Tweaks?) that does a similar thing, but only allows five followers. Maybe patch 1.9 changed things? I have not had to use it with followers since patch 1.8 and my recent characters have been solo. I used it mostly when they got lost, and usually I saved and used Player.MoveTo first, just to see where they were. One time, Mjoll had fallen off the walkway at the College of Winterhold and got smashed to death on the rocks below. So I reloaded, used MoveTo Player and resurrected her and all was well. Another time, I blasted Brenyla off a cliff in the dark, thinking she was a vampire. I could not find her body anywhere, so I used Player.MoveTo and she was on a ledge half way down a cliff face. You can read up on it here. And you can get their REF IDs from here. Unfortunately, they are all on their own page. A table of all of them together would be more useful. Or at least quicker to use. I made batch files for all my followers: Put the commands in text files (FindJen.txt, GetJen.txt etc) in the Skyrim folder, EG C:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Skyrim (one level above DATA, where esp and bsa files go) Then, in the console, bat FindJen took me to her,bat GetJen brought her to me. I hope it works out for you. Good Luck! ~.~
Shadeybladey
PS I recall reading somewhere that you should use resurrect1 (or resurrect 1) to recreate them with the inventory they had when they died. Maybe if you tried that they would not be aggressive? ~.~
Shadeybladey
Specifically, I'm talking about the companions in whiterun who died while being followers. Ah, if you mean The Companions at Jorrvaskr, maybe something special happens when they die? Did you become a (spoiler - you know what) and slay that specific bandit group, or did you decide the specific bandit group had the right idea? Maybe that will turn them hostile, depending on their crime and faction settings? I have never actually completed the Companions quests. Some followers will leave my service if I steal too much or slay innocents. They moan and complain first, and finally stomp off in a fit of pique at my thieving, or they attack me when they "realise" I am evil. Not that I usually play evil characters, but sometimes NPCs and citizens get caught in friendly fire. Some followers will just not put up with that if it happens too often. If I drop junk from my inventory, some of them will shout "Really! Do you have to throw your rubbish about like some barbarian!?" If I am naked, sometimes they shout "Good grief! I have seen quite enough! Put some clothes on!" When I make camp for the night, Jenessa and Mjoll sometimes get drunk, then it goes something like: Jenassa - "What have we here?" (picks up some gem or flask of wine)Mjoll - "I'll just take that!"Jenassa - "Over my dead body!"Mjoll - "That can be arranged!"Both - SMASH! WHACK! BANG! KA-POW!Me - "STOP FIGHTING!" (UFO Command) That's what I love about Skyrim - still full of surprises after 21 months! ~.~
