Lishca Posted January 4, 2014 Share Posted January 4, 2014 Okay okay, I'm in deep s#*!. I have fallout and all dlc's and I have NEVER had this problem before. I am in PL, I go outside and suddenly the textures of Moonshiner's Shack is smeared all over everything. My gun has a different texture, it's bright purple. But that is one thing, I just load the game and it's over (I may have to load a few times or so). Secondly, this is very annoying: everything is red exclamation marks. The vanilla meshes are red exclamation. I just recently installed Point Lookout Reborn while being there and I thought this was the problem. But when I start a new game and exit the vault i get same issue. Plus I can't click esc. Or anything for that matter. When I open the pip boy the screen is blue. and when I shoot with my gun there is a muffled sound. Sometimes the bullets appear as red exclamation marks aswell. I have researched for a while now and all I got was Archive Invalidation, so I did that. I turned it off and I tried but I cant start the game then. I get an issue with DarnIU and occasionaly it ctd's. Oh, and the main theme music plays while in game. But I just turn on the radio and it's gone. But otherwise, I need help. Purr4me Posted January 5, 2014 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Download Fomm or any bsa archive extractor. extract all data for all bsa's into the data directory, Overwrite all. this will solve that problem, most of it anyway.Based on the short description here, you may have an OS problem assigning permissions to files OR you have moved files around a lot. Windows Move command places lock on files. If you "Move any files out to a folder on the desktop. then later try to Move them back into th data folder, you will find Pad locks on those files. Once this is done, no more game time. you need to remove those locks / Take back ownership from the OS. If this is what's going on for you, you have a choice. you can pick (anyone) as the new user Or you can pick (the logged on user) I pick anyone as that covers all the files in any directory. Takes a bit of practice to over ride a systems permissions. Be careful of what you tamper with. archive invalidate allows the game to use Lose files, in your case, Vanilla files are archived......so.. extract them, then they are accessible and will now render. If you have the hard drive space? I can try and guide you to a set up to save what you now have, create a backup mod installer for your game with what you have.You may consider this too. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1334/? this is sort of difficult to understand if your level of modding is low. What the hell could be causing that?search on the mod side of FO3 nexus for Exclamation. Or red use only the one mod not the copy cats, you want the one FIX that shows that red diamond on the screen shot gallery hosted on the nexus.just follow the simple instructions. now once it is installed, run the game and carefully tfc the character and scan it , from all sides, is it missing hair teeth, Eye balls, something will still be missing on lt now you can inspect for what it is and then fix it use fomm or Mod Organizer to install the fix so you can toggle on and then off the fix to tell if you have found and repaired the problem correctly.
