Download Issues

I'm having the same issue.

Country: Canada

ISP: Primus (using the Rogers line)

Average Download Speed (non-Nexus): 7.9-8.4 MB/s (it flip flops between the two)

Download tests:
Amsterdam: Briefly opens a tab, then closes, no download occurs
Prague: Briefly opens a tab, then closes, no download occurs
LA: Briefly opens a tab, then closes, no download occurs
Chicago: Opens tab then stalls out giving a "server cannot be reached" error message.
Miami: Briefly opens a tab, then closes, no download occurs
Premium CDN: 7.9-8.4MB/s, same as non-Nexus

For the Chicago one, this is the link available in the tab that has the standard chrome "server can't be reached" error message

I've split your post out into it's own topic instead of hijacking another user's thread.

As your connection to all of our free servers around the world is not working I'm afraid this points to an ISP issue. You can contact your ISP to report the fault or try using a VPN to see if you can get a stable connection that way.

I've had the same issue for about a month. I have the same ISP, etc. as you.

The traceroute stopped at exactly the same place/IP address. I could not get a response from the Chicago server link. The other links opened and closed a tab. The only one that worked was the premium link.

I resolved it by setting up a VPN (with US as the location).

Hope that helps.

I've never used a VPN, what do you reccomend?

I have one included with Norton, but I recommend Protonmail. They have a free version that includes a US site. You can connect, download and then disconnect the VPN (unless you want to keep it running). I don't leave mine on because it affects things like streaming sites (e.g Netflix), etc.
