koza31 Posted January 28 Share Posted January 28 Hello, I am trying the same thing on Zorin OS, which is based on Ubuntu. When I try to run it with Winetricks, it asks me what I would like to do with this prefix. I choose 'Run Explorer,' but in the mod manager, I can find the .exe file but cannot select it. I'm a bit confused at this step Original one should work right away but the new one (use version 0.9.6) requires an extra step since it requires .NET 6 to run: Open "Protontricks > Select the default wineprefix > Install a Windows DLL or component". Check "dotnet6" and "dotnetdesktop6" on the list and click OK. Complete the installation wizards that will appear. Should I run scriptmerger exe with protontricks and select witcher 3? If you want to use Phaz42's new script merger, you should first open the protontricks by itself (without any exe), select Witcher 3, install dotnet6 and dotnetdesktop6 by following this path. However, I have a question: How exactly do you say "Run the Mod Manager's .exe with Protontricks"Should be done? How do you do that? Can you please explain? Because: I run the Protontricks app. and try to feed it the .exe of W3MM. And yadi yadi yada on the third page; "What would you like to do to this wineprefix"? I clicks "Run an arbitrary executable (.exe/.msi/.msu); And I run it... Nothing happens! And the page comes back again... empty! Blank! ellipses and all! Rasit... am I doing it wrong?
