Weapon Workbench-Texture Swaps

This may seem like a dumb question but one of my weapon mods uses multiple different stocks which are completely different meshes for the gun and I was wondering if I made a separate attachment point just so the player can swap colors will the game swap out the textures correctly with the right textures if the player switches from Stock 1 to Stock 2? I know that I could simply put each version of the stocks as separate colors in the Stock Object mod and that will work Im just trying to declutter mods at the workbench so there wont be 20+ stocks in one category.
