Why is it that I cannot cast my spell without tgm?

Why is it that I can only cast craftable spells with tgm on? It doesn't make sense. Is there a way to make your mana in the thousands? It is kind of weird how they allow us to make such mana needed spells, but not be able to cast them without cheating?

Open console, type: player.setAV Magicka 80000

It will add 80000 to your magicka.

Well, the reason is that such powerful spells were not really intended for normal use, even though they could be created. Powerful spells can sometimes be cast with magicka fortification spells and equipment, magical race and birth sign, and other conventional means like this.

Simply because you don't have the magika ammount and/or skills to cast them.

 

TGM not only gives you godmode, it also removes things like requirements for items and spells along with the encumberence thing that stops you from carrying too much.

Alas, You can use spells you make when spellmaking, Higher Skills are needed and the higher your skill at the magic school the less magic they use. Honestley, my brother made a spell that did 600 damage (100 fire, 100 shock, 100 frost, 100% weakness to each) On easiest with one shot all you cant kill are gloom wraiths and liches at level 18 and master destruction skill (uses roughly around 370 magicka)
