BossDweebe
I gather you are asking how to find a world space in CS.There are probably better ways, but what I do is -go to the area I want to do something in. use console to get the for ID forseveral objects (rocks, trees or clutter in the area) then in CS openEdit - Find Text - Then type the ID in the search bar and you will get a listthat includes the location of the wilderness area you need. This will have the form ID for that cell followed by something like (26,-6).(EDIT:click the Objects tab)Next find this in the Cell View - Tamriel. Click on the Location tab to arrange thenumbers (there are pos and neg #'s here so look for that) scroll down the list untillyou find the number of the cell and double click on the cell name to open it in the render window.Get some tutorials. One is on the Nexus - Oblivion Mod Maker Manual. There are more on -The Elder Scrolls Construction Set Wiki.Oblivion modding guide for beginners by Tom Dawson - comes in three parts. There are more. There is a lot to learn if you want to change terrain etc. The mod called - Form ID Finder - may also be helpful.
darkjaffar
Man, I didn't even think of that BossDweebe. =( That's way better than the way I have done it. I always just found a major landmark near the area, like a cave, and randomly wandered in CS to find the spot I wanted, lifting a tree into the air in the area I thought was the correct one and seeing if I was correct in game. Start an new project after the area is located. I'll have to remember your way.
Palpenious
I think the easiest way, if you want close to the city, is to load the interior of the section you want it near. So say you want it right outside the marketplace district. Load that cell, then click on the door marker and select the view linked door or whatever it's called. Then it will load the area right outside the city, move to where you want to edit from here and make sure you write down the wilderness area. Then, as BD said, you can sort the list by editor number from now on to find it easily.
