Texture neck seam problem

Hello everyone,

I'm using a custom race (Lovergirl) for my character, which originally used the UNP body. I've replaced the meshes and body textures with CBBE versions. It works nicely in-game, the only problem is that there is a strongly visible seam in color and brightness where head and body textures meet.

Now, I know that there's a tool called TexBlend by Caliente, and I already tried to use it to fix the problem. However, apparently TexBlend will always use the default textures (from Data/textures/actors/character/female) and won't let me choose the files to blend manually. This is a problem because the texture files for the lovergirl race actually reside in a different folder.

Does anybody have a hint for me how to tackle this problem? I know that it's purely cosmetic, but the texture seam is so plainly obvious that it's really disturbing the game experience, especially because it affects my player character.

Thanks,

Alan

Could have sworn I told you, twice, how to fix it...oh well, third time's the charm. I'll try to be a little more thorough this time. =)

1. Find the LoverGirl textures folder.

2. Copy the head textures. There should be three of them.

3. Go to textures/actors/character/female.

4. Rename the three head textures there. Just add an 'a' to the end or something to make it easy.

5. Paste.

6. If necessary, rename the Lovergirl head textures that have now been pasted into /female to femalehead.dds etc. to match what the files you just renamed were called.

7. Use TexBlend.

8. Rename the now blended Lovergirl textures back to their original names.

9. Copy them.

10. Paste them back into their original folder. Allow overwrites.

11. Go back to character/female and delete the Lovergirl head textures.

12. Rename the head textures there back to their original names.
