On the contrary, selfish is forcing others to work for you without payment, just because they can do more than you.

Firstly, they are not working for you, they are working for everyone, including you, and themselves. Secondly, what use is paying them if that money can't buy anything?

A few years ago I was involved with a charity raising food aid for Russia. At the time mothers were shredding tissue in water in the (mistaken) belief that it contained some nourishment more than water for their starving babies. This level of poverty never existed under the communist regime.

I have said many times that I am not a communist but the one thing even the corrupt forms of communism did do was made sure everyone got food. Draighox, your comment that under communism everyone starves is contradicted by factual evidence. Those parts of the world where starvation is found do not have communist regimes.

Furthermore quite a few of those who lived under the so-called communist regimes that have since been overthrown wish that they could put the clock back. Were communism even as practiced to be wholly evil this could not happen.

So factual evidence as well as logic and common sense leaves you dead in the water!

Firstly, a part of their work is for you.

Secondly, I didn't say the payment has to be money.

[sarcasm]Yes, the nationalisation Stalin initiated didn't result in huge famine and it didn't kill millions of people.[/sarcasm]

Should I show you a picture with a crowd of grannies in it, carrying portraits of Stalin? Wasn't he evil?

Various causes - high unemployment, high pollution levels. Most of those in the cities have no opportunity to grow anything. Those in the country feed themselves and sell what is left to the highest bidder but poor infrastructure means much cannot be sold before it perishes.

In the past every small town or village would have processing plants for the local area but these are uneconomic and have been left to go to ruin.

Yep, same as a part of your work is for them.

They are generating resources for their society, which means their society has more resources than if they didn't work, so this means they get an increased amount of resources back. As such, unless you only count getting given money as 'getting paid', they are getting paid.

No, you work only for yourself, if you production is less than average.

They get less than is taken from them.

How do you work that one out????? Yes, you generate less resources than they do, but you do not work solely for yourself, unless, of course, you grow your own food, make your own clothes, build your own house, drill your own well for drinking water, etc, etc, etc.

This already happens in every country in the world. It's normally called 'taxation'.
