Looking for a mod that acts as a simple "atom smasher" i.e. items placed within it deletes said items.

I'm looking for some sort of "atom smasher" mod that allows in-game deletion of unwanted objects. Of course, I could simply drop unwanted items in a cell that's on a reset timer. But sometimes I would like to have the convenience of knowing that the stray Folders in my inventory won't be bothering me any longer.

You might try the  "Auto-sell Everything" mod.  You can put anything in it to get rid of stuff you don't want and get caps.

Build a container that will auto-sell any items placed inside of it.

If you don't mind a console bit, any container will do. You put the crud in, make sure your id is focused on the container, disable then enable, and your crud is gone-gone-gone.
