Moritsugu
Short and sweet: What do ya'll think of the new DLC?As far as it goes pretty kick ass, the double barrel's like a point and click weapon, direct shot to the brain and even a glowing one goes down like it was made of paper mache. It finally adds an axe and shovel to the melee list and even makes a non-unique version of the lincoln's repeater. Also at times the swamp can be incredibly atmospheric, so overall more woth the 10$ then the pitt or anchorage for sure.

If I make a Silent Hell/Silent Hill atmosphere mod for it (With the fog and creepy dark nights), think anyone would download it?
laffindude
I liked it. Love the atmosphere. I know where I am moving my safehouse to :D PS: Scrappers reminds me of Cletus from Simpsons for some reason ;o

rad666a
Is it just me, or does "Point Lookout" feel a lot like "The Shivering Isles" from Oblivion?
ElijahHouck
Is it just me, or does "Point Lookout" feel a lot like "The Shivering Isles" from Oblivion?Exactly what I've been thinking, too.BTW, is it just me, or does the double-barrel shotgun suck? I have 100 small guns skill, the damage on the thing is (I think) in the 70-80 range, but it barely hurts anything in Point Lookout.

It's not the shotgun that sucks but the enemies in Point Lookout are fairly tough when compared to the normal Wasteland encounters. Better stock up on a lot of ammo and stimpaks when heading into the swamp. Well, what's to say about the DLC Point Lookout ? It's quite a challenge, I recommend visiting it around Level 15 and upwards. The area is absolutely great when it comes to atmosphere but somehow it feels a little empty. Especially the little town right at the beginning, there's so much buildings and you feel just like taking a stroll around the boardwalk... only to find out the only inhabitant of this place is a not so talkative shop keeper and the ferryman who brought you there. The place would be a lot better with a few people living there and wandering around. Guess it'll be up for modders to fill it up. Otherwise it's really worth its money I think, especially if you're a fan of B-Movie horror flicks. The whole swamp area just screams for zombies and sea monsters, the quests just add to that really fine. It has a lot of occult reference everywhere, making it quite a joy if you're into that kind of stuff.
