It's not me personally having the issue, I uploaded my mod setup privately as a collection because my room mates wanted to try out my setup, but when they download it Nexus has many issues doing so;

  • Bundled mods like my own patch refuse to download
  • Sorting rules come out all messed up (noted that my friend who downloaded another collection that did just work out of the box had an issue where that collection and my collection's rules where smashed together in a way that DID not work)
  • When it does eventually download the mods many of them are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ON THE BINARY LEVEL (like my patch file which is only 55kb comes out as 250kb on their end)

So far the only solution to get it to work was to provide them with my copies of the files directly through a zip file (on our private network). One other note is Vortex claiming that some mods don't have installer options when they clearly do, like Survival Options or Nuclear Winter, in these cases do I use replicate or do I use binary patching? Everyone's Vortex client is up-to-date, the issue didn't happen with the other collection my friend downloaded that had over 200 more mods in it, I'm not sure how to fix these things.

Bundled files should download automatically as part of the collection installation, before the mods start downloading. They won't appear as individual mods during the install process. If they're not downloading at all, that sounds like a bug. I can't really test that without knowing what files you've bundled or a link to the collection.

If someone is installing your collection alongside another collection, then yes they will experience issues with conflicting rules. I recommend they install your collection to a separate profile, then carefully apply other mods and resolve issues/conflicts as they arise.

I'm not too sure on the other issues, sorry!

They did do the separate profiles, but the rules still got merged, as for sharing the collection the reason I've made it private was because I need to find replacement mods for some mods that aren't available anymore. If you want I can link it here despite its issues.
