Patched to 1.6 in attempt to download Broken Steel...

Recommended Posts

I get the same thing. I finish "Take it Back!", the final cut scenes play, but instead of going to "Two Weeks Later" the credits roll. It tells me Broken Steel is downloaded, I'm already at Lvl 24 (the right message played when I first launched after purchase), and have seen the add-ons creatures like the Mutant Overlord and Albino Scorps, but no matter how I try to tweak the files or try different scenarios, the BS (aptly named) storyline won't load.

By the way, I've got all the other 3 DLC's loaded and they all work perfectly. This is really pissing me off.

ANYBODY GOT AN ANSWER?*

*A question really posed to Bethesda and the numb-nuts at GFWL.

I moved my files, but it still doesn't kick in. None of my character saves work with it and of course now I've accidentally stranded a couple permanently in the Rotunda because you can't leave until you finish the quest "Take it Back!" I try it will LIVE on, with in off, with the files in their original place, with the files moved, and with the GFWL Disabler. Do you have to start a new character AFTER loading BS? It clearly isn't working of me (and others) with pre-existing chars.

The mod has to be in place BEFORE you complete the main quest.

You must also remove any mods which allow you to continue beyond the main quest or level beyond 20. Yup, I found this out the hard way and actually had to restart the game.

Also, please be careful with spoilers, people. :)

Cheers.

You wouldn't happen to be using a race other than a vanilla, plain old adult character would you? Such as playing as child using console commands or one of the mods available, or any other non-vanilla race mod.
